Ummmm....ok, next time you might wanna actually try to
make sense. As complicated as it may sound, it's really not that hard.
I'm sorry that your "joke" or "dig" as you referred to it just wasn't funny at all and you're bitter about it. How your not funny joke suddenly turned into wether or not I or anyone care about music as an art is where you stopped making ANY sense at all.
I hope that works out for you, that not making any sense thing.

Evil video and click the lil camera next to Evil on the tracklisting.

When I heard of the video having a puppet I thought of Weezer's "Keep Fishing" and Supergrass's "Pumping Up your Stereo" which are great. But then I get this, horrible.

I thought you meant like Marionette puppets at first. Like those really old wooden classy looking ones. Not the "spongey" ones.

I think it's a sad statement of music when a band can imitate a groundbreaking band and still get critical praise.
My point was fuck Interpol, the world's most boring New York band that apes Ian Curtis and Television, and fuck their hipster fans that don't know better than to worship some boring carbon copy of Joy Division.
I hope it works out for you, liking shitty bands.

Um, where have you been you're entire life? NOTHING is original. All bands are imitating someone else, or more accurately, inspired by someone else. And if I'm not mistaken weren't The Vines called an imitation of Nirvana and still gained critical praise. Why yes, I think they were.
Carbon copy, hahahahahaha! The
only thing that sounds similar between Interpol and Joy Division are the vocals, and if you listened to the new album you'd notice that comparision is now shot to shit. Though I imagine you knew that already as you're such a know-it-all and music snob.
I love how you took my words and used them yourself in a different way. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery. I'm also glad you made sense now, too bad you don't know what you're talking about.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't expressed my love for Interpol on this thread yet. Well, here it goes.
I freaking LOVE Interpol. I only have Antics, but I just love it. It's a fantastic album, I love every song on it. Esepcially Evil, Take You On A Cruise, and Slow Hands. I also love the singles off of Turn On The Bright Lights, so I plan on purchasing the album very, very soon.
But yeah. My love for them has risen greatly recently.
Oh, and I only had one thing to say about the video for Evil after I saw it:
What...the...fuck...?

INterpol are orgasmic in a very dystopic kind of way
Ive got tix to their gig in Dublin and me and the gurlz are going.
I prefer TOTBL to Antics, its got more soul, which come to think of it, is a word you wouldnt exactly think of in the same sentence as Interpol.
PDA is a great song.

I've decided that my favorite song on Antics is definitely "Take You On A Cruise".
That part where he sings, "I'm a scavenger/Between the sheets of the union/Lately I can't tell for sure/Whether machines turn anyone" gives me butterflies.

My favourite is probally 'length of love' .
What number is 'take you on a cruise'.
... i dont like some interpol songs very much like 'stella was a driver' and 'NYC'
