[Note: Quotes aren't exact, but I tried to get them down as accurately as I could. Oh and feel free to ignore my ranting regarding certain songs.

The band appeared on the screen.
"I'm Hamish"
I'm Brad"
"I'm Ryan"
"Hey I'm Craig, we're the Vines and we're choosing some songs to play tonight on Rage so we hope you watch it."
The Rage intro played and the band appeared on screen again.
Craig, whose demeanor is quite reserved and uncertain: "This is a song by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. We really like them a lot and they started out about the same time as us. We got to meet them and hang out with them a bit... They're just too cool... So it's called Weapon of Choice." (AWHHH YEAAAH.

)
Weapon of Choice by BRMC played.
Black Math by the White Stripes played.
Hamish introduces the next song. "Hi, I'm Hamish, we're the Vines and we're choosing all the music on Rage tonight so don't go to bed, stay up, with us, and let us show you our favourite videos of all time."
Let There Be Rock by AC/DC played.
Love Me Two Times by the Doors played.
A close up of Ryan's face as he speaks, he too comes off as being quite shy: "Ah, this next song is by one of my all time favourite bands the Dandy Warhols. It's off their third album, Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia, and it's called Godless." (
Oh, how I love Ryan.

Godless is one of my favourite songs by the Dandy Warhols and I absolutely adore the video too. Ohh, and: A verbal confession at long last! After seeing Dandys stickers all over his equipment over the years I wondered if we'd ever hear it from his own mouth.

)
Godless by the Dandy Warhols played.
Gloves by the Horrors played.
Reason Is Treason by Kasabian played. (WOOT!

Love Spreads by the Stone Roses played. (Brilliant song (and band)! The Vines just have the best taste in music, don't they?

)
Brad introduced the next song. "Alright, the next video is Bombay by El Guincho. It's a bit obscure. I stumbled upon this while me and Hamish were in Indonesia after we toured there, we took a few weeks off, going surfing and going on adventures... It's amazing, has spices of dream like sequences, doesn't make sense but that's the beauty of it. The song is like a cool Caribbean party on Neptune... kind of spacey, but cool, so... check it out."
Bombay by El Guincho played.
Popular by Nada Surf played.
Part of the Get Free video plays as a little Rage ad/ reminder runs along the bottom of the screen.

Richard III by Supergrass played. (

)
Moving by Supergrass played. (Woo hoo!)
Hamish introduced the next song. As usual, his confidence isn't lacking. "Yeah, the 90's were my real [didn't catch what he said, it might have been "formidable"] years in music. I loved grunge and all that type of stuff that was coming out. This guy didn't really fit in with anything, you couldn't pigeon hole him. I saw him live in Sydney in what was probably one of his last shows, ever. During this time, being played live, this song, it got a bit more rock n roll. Have a listen. Eternal Life by Jeff Buckley."
Eternal Life (live) by Jeff Buckley played. (Just awesome.)
You Know You're Right by Nirvana played. (Yeeeah!)

Glosoli by Sigur Ros plays. (

I remember watching this for the first time on YouTube. It gave me goosebumps and it did tongiht, too.)
A Song for the Lovers by Richard Ashcroft played!!!! (My initial reaction was broad casted on Twitter and is as follows: "A SONG FOR THE LOVERS HOLY FUCKING SHIT I CAN DIE NOW. I LOVE WHOEVER CHOSE THIS GOODBYE WONDERFUL WORLD. *cries alone in bedroom* But honestly. I love him so much and having someone from the Vines choose this song is just... life affirming. ;_; " The only thing that could have made it better is if whoever had chosen it talked about it, if they had, oh my god, I would have died... Okay, calm down, Elena, calm down...)
Creep by Radiohead played.
Lazy by Suede played. (Fantastic song. I get this in my head all the time. ^__^)
SHIT. I totally messed up dictating this one. Sorry! D: It went something like this:
Hamish, again very confident and cheery, speaks clearly and adds a bright humourous tone to his voice where necessary: "This next song is significant to me because it reminds me of my very first band, the Warthogs. We used to meet in one of our garages on the weekend and jam out to classic British punk songs. We entered the school talent contest. We lost. Probably because we played 3 songs and it was a 2-song contest." [He smiles and so does Craig who is sitting behind/ to the right of him (I was looking at the screen typing most of the time so I can't be sure if the others were in shot/ how they reacted] He then dedicated the song to all the members of the Warthogs and he named them, 3 in all, with a noble, sincere tone. (Sorry I didn't get this part down properly).
God Save the Queen by the Sex Pistols played.
Happy by the Rolling Stones played.
Low by Foo Fighters played.
Death to All But Metal by Steel Panther played. ("It's not to Death to All Butt Metal, it's Death to
All But Metal." "That's what I said." "You know I was gonna fuck her but now I'm not." Oh my god, this is just so funny. Whoever chose this has a great sense of humour. I'm guessing Hamish.

)
The band appear again and this time it's Brad's turn to chime in. He's looking a little nervous and out of place and speaks softly and but it's adorable and you can tell he's interested in what he's talking about. "The next video is by Romantic Rights, Death From Above 1979. This song is just amazing, this band to me... I just started listening to them and it blew me away about how powerful the bass can sound and the drums... It's brutal and punk but quite melodic too. There's a lot of things I like about this band but they only made one album. But they reformed recently-" Here Hamish jumps in, enthusiastically asking, "oh, did they?". Brad replies, in the same reserved voice, "yeah. So hopefully we'll get to see more of them soon. Check it out..."

A close up of Craig's face. He eyes scan around the room and settle momentarily on objects or on the ceiling as he speaks (much like the Sessions at AOL interview) in his usual reserved but friendly manner, "ahh... this one is by the Redwalls, a band from America. I think they're a really good band and they've had a few albums out... and this one is called Thank You."
Thank You by the Redwalls played.
Possessed to Skate by Suicidal Tendencies played.
Jimmy's Fantasy by Redd Kross played.
The band appear on screen again. Craig, "this is the alternate Outtathaway music video, so ahh, one of our songs..." Hamish jumps in here. "Yeah, it was shot on Super 8 film cameras, we actually really liked this and we wanted it to to be the music video but the record company said [mock stern voice] "We've got a better one for you!" [goes into more upbeat tone of voice] And they probably did, but we still really like this. Outtathaway."
Outtathaway (alternate version) played.
Get Free played.
Highly Evolved played.
Homesick played. (Ohhh man, this song is soo beautiful but always makes me so sad.

The band appear again, all in shot. Brad seems more confident than before and says, "Hi I'm Brad and I'm on Rage, you're on Rage, we're all on Rage, so let's rage out, hey?" [he laughs, Hamish, Ryan and Craig laugh too]

There! A great night's entertainment indeed! Now... BED TIME.

Sorry for any mistakes I made, I'm insanely tired.
Oh by the way, Jared, my reception isn't that great and the cuts to the audience are only brief but the cameraman must have really liked you because I saw you quite a bit, especially during Vision Valley which you were singing along to.

And wow, what a great live show! Everyone looks like they're having so much fun (the Vines included).
