i got that picture off the Vines MSN Group, and it was called "Red Bull". Guess that's what it was, although I can't really make out if that is true anyway.

I scanned this pic from a magazine I bought today
It was a big two page picture from a Q magazine article from May 2002. It was such a random find . Argh! I've had the best Vines shopping day today! I also got the Sunchild/Hot Leather 7" single, an unmastered version of Winning Days, some more promo singles and an EPK from July 2002 (not the one from Winning Days on Yahoo). The video was so amazing! It had some footage of the guys live and a little interview with Craig as well as some behind the scenes of the Get Free video. I'd never seen any of it before . Okay, I'll stop going on about it now *goes and watches the video again*.

No it isn't. It starts out in this bar thing and you can see Craig's profile through some rippled glass as he talks. Then it goes on to the behind the scenes Get Free, then the concert footage (Craig's wearing his Swervedriver t-shirt) and then the the Get Free video. It's on a video tape, so I can't upload it .

Craig: "Good man. Try not to flip out n' just like eat junk food and keep it real."
Then they just cut out and put together some of Craig's quotes:
"So we've got so many new songs it's kind of, we wanna get them down so I don't forget them. I just wanna get into a studio and do a whole lot of stuff."
"I'm not gonna change it now cause I've had it, I've been doing it all the time, it's just too much. Yeah it's gonna work I think. It's more free that way."

there was a vid called international epk that jon/audiofreq did eons ago that had similar clips - at least, i know what you mean about the milky glass thing - but maybe that's something different. when i see the transcript i'll know for sure, but don't go to too much trouble.
edit: i've seen him saying that, but it's in that epk vid that has scenes in the bar and him in his bedroom doing the phone interview. the one that also includes clips used in the alt outtathaway vid. the rest no.

YES! that sounds very familiar. I have that vid.
EDIT: Errr uh...DID have that video.
I was searching all over my saved CD's and couldnt find it. I thought i saved it...but i had it at one time. Its like a promo type thing..it was cool..one of the first clips i saw of them when i first discovered the Vines.

actually, i read somewhere the black eye was the result of craig getting in an onstage fight with his guitar. the guitar won.
but even with a black eye, he's so...
i got this picture from jane magazine when they were polling women to see which rock god was hotter - craig, paul banks, hamilton leithauser (the walkmen), and one other guy i'm forgetting. anyway, most of the women polled chose craig, saying not only was he cute, but the black eye made him look...dangerous!
