Is it weird that I don't hear it? That is one of my favorite songs ever, but it never reminded me of The Vines....

Nah I don't think it's weird, because you if you like and know the song that much, then you'll be able to distinguish differences more easily. It's like when someone you barely know says "you kind of look like *insert celebrity name*" and then you and your friends disagree. Y'know?

hahahaha I know what you mean, the part in Mary Jane at about 4:45 with the cool picking pattern always reminded me of a part from The Goonies, even though looking back I really don't think they sound anything alike hahahaha
