Well im sorry if this has been posted already but i watched a really shoddy video at my cousins house of this interview so i wrote it down and typed it up as best as i could so enjoy

The Vines J TV Interview with Zan 27/07/08
Zan: Here we are in a skanky alley way somewhere in Sydney, I have the Vines with me looking cleaner than anything else in this alley way. Craig, Hamish, Brad and Ryan welcome to triple J TV
Hamish: G’day *muffled hellos from other band members*
Zan: Well uh this album (Melodia) has been uhh a couple of years since the last record *Craig takes a sip of his coke or maybe two* Now that you’ve worked on a album and released it recently how does it feel to have it out there *Craig Starts nodding vigorously* for everyone to be listening to?
Craig: Really good yeah we’re really proud of this album umm and uh we hope people like it.
Zan: It’s an album you went over to the States to record with Rob Shnapff again
Hamish: Yepp *Craig nods*
Zan: Didn’t you, uhh he worked on your first two albums did it feel like a bit of a homecoming for you guys
Craig: Yeaah it was like a reunion and uhh we all get along well so...we had a good time we went out with him a couple of times parties and uh he helped us out there uhh
Zan: Did he help you to get in or help you to get out of a party?
Craig: Uhh no
Hamish: A bit of both * laughs*
Craig: It was something a Grammies parties *laughs*
Zan: It’s a hard life *laughs* Craig:Yeeaah Zan: Who else was at the Grammies parties were you trying to impress them?
Craig: No one uhh no someone asked me I was the most famous person there *brad laughs* and so it was pretty bad
*Everyone Laughs*
Zan: Central to the Vines is those short sharp songs *Craig Hamish Brad and Ryan Nod* in a song there is around the two minute mark you guys love soo much
Craig: Well I think a lot of pop music from maybe the 60’s and it was like that and uh so you see with us were not very centred around uh the vocals, the songs have a lot of instrumentation to it so I think that may be one reason but... Hamish: There’s less chance to make a mistake when you play it live as well
Zan: *Laughs* The other uhh thing that I love about this comeback of the vines is that you’ve given us one of the greatest music videos of the year “he’s a rocker” Justin Curzel directed this
Craig: Yeah its great we juust stood there and sung like monkeys (All: *Laugh)*) he had all the good ideas
Zan: Was it all done in one take (Hamish: Nooope)Cause it looks like
Craig: Yeah it was good I mean we played the song about 4 or 5 times and it was the easiest most fun video shoot we ever did
Zan: Craig I was also reading about your love of music and that you listen to *Craig looks confused* the jmag article eight hours a day
*Craig laugh*
Zan: Is that right
Craig: I was... Zan: is it a whopper
Craig: I just made it up *laughs* I don’t I Listen to maybe (Hamish: Oh it’d be more) one cd a week
Zan: Really
Craig: If I’m feeling if I’m feeling like Zan: So you were lying to a journalist
Craig: Yeaah I lie to every journalist I see about every single thing I say no ii m really honest I don’t think a lot of journalist believe me when I’m telling them things I am honest and uhh that was maybe... *Looks to other band members* I don’t know if I said that
Hamish: Well it wouldn’t be anything less, you’d probably listen to more than eight hours
Craig: yeah probably about
Hamish: All day
Craig: Nine and three quarters seven four it doesn’t really matter who cares *Hamish and Craig Laugh* Zan: You’re really passionate about music though
Craig: I like music!
*All start to laugh* Zan: You like making and listening
Craig: Yeeeeeeah Zan: Ever thought about being a radio dj?
Craig: Uh no I’ve thought about being a stand up comedian
Zan: Cause like I know people you know that could help you
Craig: Ok uh you know some people who know some people that know some people
Zan: I got some friends that could help you out
Craig: *points to Hamish* this this guy too
*Hamish and Craig Laugh* Zan: You guys could be like a duo, get you a summer radio show on triple J
Hamish: *gestures to himself and Craig* Great faces for radio
Zan: haha it’s true Zan: Vines or The Vines I should say. You are one of those The Bands
Craig: Yeah we love it Zan: Thank you for joining us on triple j TV
*ALL Nod in unison* *Muffled overlapping of the saying the following all at bonce*
Hamish: Pleasure Zan
Brad: Thanks
Ryan: No problem Craig: Thankyou

I can totally see Craig doing comedy as a side project

No problem yeah it wasn't workin on mine either :S
thats why i wrote it up at my cousins it took a while but it was worth it

I guess Craig wouldn't like to be a radio DJ, with the buttons that he has to push and he's not very good with technology.

my favourite part of the interview was when Hamish said "Pleasure Zan"
he's so polite haha

He should be on Spicks and Specks. I can see him out smart Alan and out wit the comedian guests .

and he'd be good at the questions too

One time when i was watching the first question was "Who is this band?"
