Hi all ! I'm Alexis, I've been reading this thread from beginning to end in the last 3 days, so I finally decided to join you all
(I think I'll have to make a real presentation post soon or later ..)
So, thank you all for what I learnt about The Vines those last days ^^
Really happy to hear there'a a new album making his way, I had left a bit the guys off of my playlists since nothing really new came out to me recently.. Now I just recall there's a lot of demo stuff and B-sides I have to listen to, and it really makes me want to get again into The Vines ^^.
However, reading the last posts, I remarked that with all the pieces of advice which you've been giving to Jess, it sounded a bit as a kind of
pressure , not necessarily in a bad way (after all, it's just advices) but as if the 5th album had to be the great one you expect or you would kind of "leave" The Vines.. And I was thinking "It's just the 5th album, even if it doesn't turn to be as good as we expected, there will be a 6th one ! " I Hope you get what I want to say, I mean no offense
What's great is that it's the first time I ever hear of someone THIS close to a band giving fans some updates ! It's really cool to have you there, Jessica !
Finally (because it's getting a bit late here) I'd really like the band to tour in France
Haven't had the occasion to see them there, since I've only known their music for 2/3 years ^^
