I moved the thread here since it's a question, not news .

I don't think it's so unusual for band members to play with other bands during their primary band's downtime. If Craig is writing all the songs, the other guys aren't needed too much until the songs need to be fleshed out for recording.

The Vines aren't Coldplay or MCR, they aren't a brand/marketing machine where the members have to stick around with 24/7 for all the international tours/promotions.

we can thank jesus for that.

oh. God, please dont let The Vines have no bassist! i'm a lil bit sad that in Vision Valley there are some songs with no bass voices. it felt so void.

Brad has always played for at least one other band (D'Arcy) since he first joined The Vines... I don't think his playing with the Red Riders as well is any reason to think he's leaving the band.

I was just searching for something about it. Actually I never saw Brad Heald as a Vines member, but I like him. Don't know what think about that.. First I thought "Oh NO!" but now.. I really dont know.

I can't decide whether or not I'd care if Brad leaves.
It would be nice to bring in a new personality to mix it up a bit.
