They are really great. Oracular Spectacular is on of my favorite albums ive heard in a long time. besides Melodia of course. Anyone else agree? or am i the only one?

Haha, the only one. They're the most overrated piece of shit band since ... well, I'd say Radiohead, but rabid fans would maul me.

Really, though, I find them atrocious and I don't get the hype at all. The only good thing about them is that the singer looks good with his shirt off.

I actually really really thought about going to see MGMT live because of their opening band. I guess MGMT would have been okay but I had absolutely no desire to see their crowd.

2. glad to see I'm not the only one on this forum who likes MGMT! i think Oracular Spectacular is an ace album aswell, all the songs on there are really good and theres not one that I hate. although I don't know if they will live up to the hype(regarding the 2nd album, if they make one). I basically only know about them because they have been in about every single issue of NME since the start of the year and finally got sick of the raving and checked out some of thier music.

p.s. does it really matter if you can spell or use correct grammar? its a post on a public forum, not an english essay. as long as its readable then I'm happy.

I haven't heard much of them (MGMT), personally. So I don't have an opinion on their music, but they aren't horrible from what I've heard Their music videos I've seen are really cool though. They have such a nice 'feel' to them ^-^

That's real weird, I'd like to know/read if it's available where you got that from. I'd be interested in what the similarities they see are. The only I could think of is that they both use out there sounds from time to time.
