well. Tickets since the day they went on sale. 2 hours travel to perth. 40 minutes walk to the venue. And a handwritten sign on the door of the hotel saying 'the vines have cancelled tonights show'. Now on the way home. After another 40 minute walk. With 2 severely tickd off friends. This is the worst, most dissapointing thing ever. Fuck

I must say, i was pretty angry when I realised it was cancelled. It was just such a blow after looking forward to it for so long. I was in no mood for defending the band, i felt betrayed. And I know they're playing Big Day Out but its still bullshit, Perth hasn't has a headline gig in so long, festival slots arent the same.
But yeah if someone had a fit thats really serious, i hope they're ok. As long as they didnt cancel the gig because Ryan shot himself in the foot with a tranquilizer dart or something. Lol

Anyway, I hope he's alright and that all of you that travelled to the show get a refund or that they do Perth again.
Also, where are you, Internet Guy? Seriously, the organisers/management could've at least sent an email around. Or a mail pigeon, if that's more up their street.

Craig doesnt like flying. I remember reading an interview with Hamish saying trying to get Craig to fly is quite traumatic.
Poor guy tho, flying can be stressful to people.
Still really poor show the organisers not to have tried to let people know it was cancelled before the people showed up for the gig!

here's what it says
"IMPORTANT INFO FOR FANS re: PERTH CANCELLED SHOW
For everyone in Perth who had to suffer the disappointment of Saturday night’s Rosemount show being cancelled, we sincerely apologise, and also apologise for the extremely late notice regarding the cancellation. The band are genuinely gutted that the show didn’t happen and feel terrible that they have disappointed their WA fans. Unfortunately Craig was not able to fly from Adelaide to Perth due to a serious recurrence of his flight related anxiety. For those of you familiar with his condition and history, we hope you will understand that continuing the flight was not an option.
We hope to make it up to you all in the future, and if you haven’t already been informed, of course your ticket can be refunded from point of purchase."

This really really shat me .. I bought tickets of ebay cause I always leave things to the last minute, and forgot to buy the tickets when they first came out. So I paid double the price, which is my fault.
Anyways .. I went round to a mates place and we all were having a few drinks, playing the album, getting amped .. then we get a taxi there to see a sign saying it was canceled.
I had a cry to one of the bouncers and asked what I could take my frustration out on, and he said the hedge, so I jumped into that numerous times and left. There was a party on that night that we were going to miss out on because of the concert, so we went there instead, which was near my g/fs place so she came out and the night turned out to be pretty good. Still, would have been far better if I had seen the vines. I saw them at bdo and afterwards I was drenched with sweat, it was great .. I wanted the same that night.
Mann there were some people there I had a quick chat to, who came all the way from bunbury! My other mates had a dig at the vines since they aren't as big of fans as I am, and frankly I was too pissed off to defend them .. even though one of them could have been shot, I still felt jewed to rock up and see a bit of paper with 'the vines canceled' ..
The amount of times I told people that the vines was going to be sick and I couldn't wait cause they were awesome live, to have them canceled .. I feel like a retard.
Anyways enough of me being emo .. hopefully by the time bdo comes round I won't be cut at them.

It's understandable that you guys were angry but it's not the band's fault. Unexpected sickness happens - it's just that someone should've been online to send around the notice that it was cancelled. At the same time, I don't blame you guys for being angry, especially the ones who travelled.

The Adelaide show was amazing. Dont mean to rub it in! Got to meet all the lads after the show and they all seemed great. Went to the Ed as well where they were and Crag seemed in a great mood, just floating around enjoying himself.
I did seem him skitz out at a girl in the Gov after the show, but it was nothing to bad, just yelled some abuse and threw a chair ( not at anyone ).
