Im pretty sure i saw u actually, ur tshirt caught my eye, but i only saw ur post after the show. It was when we first came in and we were at the bar, i saw you standing near the bar also! Small world huh?!

I actually came here wondering if any one had taken any pics (or video) as i was devastated to find that as i arrived to the venue i had forgotten to put my camera in my bag. I took a few on my mobile but they are crappy quality . So if you have any good ones post away!

it was such a great gig! even though i could barely see the stage most of the time (i wasn't that far back, but i'm so short my eyes were level with the shoulders of the guys in front of me ahah)

i liked the show but wasn't the best time i've seen them.. the gov show last year was a lot better even! i wanted to hang around cos the gov is such a sweet place to do so (and easy to see the bands) but didn't get to

the mosh was fun but sup with the dumb fucks who crowd surf during AS III........

it might have been my imagination, but it seemed like there were the most crowd surfers during true as the night... which is kind of like the least crowd surfing-type song... didn't really make much sense
the crowd surfing started to get annoying because most of them would leave the mosh past where i was standing so i'd keep having to move

but craig was so cute how he kept asking people to stop

lol sometimes i think people just go to random concerts and crowed surf or get drunk and shit, its so annoying.

I was so jealous to see that you got to meet craig and the guys! Both times ive seen them ive gone with people who dont want to hang around so i cant i think i will sacrifice being a loner next time and just go on my own! lol.

I will agree though with whoever said that their show at the gov last year was better. I think it was more solid, it flowed better, not as many stoppages etc. But it was a fantastic show nonetheless!!

i was standing just up on the step, not far from the lower level/stage, so we must have been fairly nearby!
i was lucky, both the people i was with wanted to meet them as well. it's annoying when i'm at a gig with people who don't want to hang around for long afterwards, because i always want to ahah

i've been checking fasterlouder from time to time since the gig to see if any of the photographers were from there, since they usually have photographers at most gigs but i haven't seen anything on there yet. it'll be good to see some good quality, close up photos from it

That sucks about the inaapropriate crowd, crowd surfing should be saved for dope train, whilst TATN should be a time of peace. Unfortunately some people are actually complete idiots.

Sounds like the gig was a bit ragged tho, but who wouldve thought the next gig would get cancelled altogether. Rough tour lol great pics aswell

What is this about the next gig being cancelled? That sux hard for those who miss out! Read a comment on their myspace saying they could possibly have had trouble boarding a place or missing their flight? Seems a bit weird really. I hope it has nothing to do with craig saying at the adelaide gig that he has had 3 mental breakdowns in the last month

Yeah i was standing right infront of the pylon, you must have been just in front of me! Yeah im the kind of person who likes to hang around for a while, eek ill have to next time, no excuses!

Yeah it would be awesome to see some close up ones but your photos were fantastic quality mate, i was glad to see them as i forgot my camera, so thanks again!

yeah, the perth gig the next night was canceled due to "illness". although in the perth gig thread, someone was told it was because craig had a fit the night before in adelaide.. which he did kind of, later in the night after most people had left. and now that you've mentioned it, i remember him saying about the mental breakdowns
poor guy, i hope he's alright

Wow the poor dude, the last few months must have been pretty hectic on him, with the new album and stuff, i guess its taking its toll. So he lost it a bit after the show, was this when he came out to greet fans? I wonder what happened? I hope he will be ok tho!

Im stoked that they are playing the big day out, i just hope craig will be able to pull himself together and that this doesnt get him down. He has been doing so well in the past year and a bit, since vision valley really, the shows have been great, lets just hope he takes some time out for himself and recuperates if thats what he needs!

it was after he'd seen all the fans, and most people had left. my friends and i were about to leave, and he'd just walked past and said goodbye to us. i won't go into heaps of detail, because it would be a bit long and i hope it doesn't sound gossip-y or anything, but the main gist of what happened was he threw a glass which smashed right in front of a girl. the girls boyfriend got angry and he and craig were yelling at each other. craig threw a chair, but not really in any general direction, then someone (security guard, i think) took the chair away. we left around that point, so i'm not sure if anything else happened afterwards.
so hopefully he is ok, and can get some time out between now and bdo. i imagine that touring would be very stressful

Whoa man. Sounds rather intense. I guess the headline tour and the constant string of shows (and some bad luck) caught up with craig. But why why why did the Perth show have to be cancelled? mysteries...

Aww geez. I guess all the touring and posibly other stuff has taken its toll. I assume the perth show was cancelled as he probably needed a break, and maybe they were unsure of his unpredictable behaviour, maybe he wasnt in any state to play.

I thought the show was very good and he put alot of passion into it i didnt see any bad signs.

This is the most confusing and annoying thing ever. Where the hell is any word from anyone in the vines camp? Theres not even an apology on the website or anything. A lame apology from heatseeker doesnt cut it, this is just getting ridiculous.

I mean if the guys in the band want to keep what happened out of the spotlight then cool fair enough. But someone somewhere should have released an apology from the band. I mean it wasnt like they missed a 3pm interview with Nathan on Channel [V], they missed an actual gig.

Or maybe Im just angry.

For everyone in Perth who had to suffer the disappointment of Saturday night’s Rosemount show being cancelled, we sincerely apologise, and also apologise for the extremely late notice regarding the cancellation. The band are genuinely gutted that the show didn’t happen and feel terrible that they have disappointed their WA fans. Unfortunately Craig was not able to fly from Adelaide to Perth due to a serious recurrence of his flight related anxiety. For those of you familiar with his condition and history, we hope you will understand that continuing the flight was not an option.

We hope to make it up to you all in the future, and if you haven’t already been informed, of course your ticket can be refunded from point of purchase.

Hope this puts a few people who were bummed at ease, i guess there was no way of getting him there in time

Oh i totally agree! He was the happiest and most talkative ive ever seen him at a gig. He seemed happy enough! He seemed like a different person to me almost, very chilled and all about peoples safety, cracking jokes etc, he was awesome that nite! haha.

i loved that funny face he pulled just as he walked off stage (for the final time, after the encore) and the little wave he gave to the crowd. that made me crack up laughing

Oh, that was really excellent! Craig is theee coolest. When he came out to say hi to the few people at waiting in line he stepped in a can of mountain dew and started walking around with a limp! really funny! i really wished i stuck around after the show, all these stories of Brad giving presents....my friend wanted to go. definately the last time i go with someone who wants to leave early!!!@!!! but anyway, here are some pics i took. not many but meh.

Yeah I definitely remember them playing dope train. I'm not 100% about when but yeah. Your pictures were great by the way. Thanks for sharing them! Your video was good too. I got a bit of Ride and a bit of Get Free but the sound is awful.

That's such a shame about Perth being cancelled. In August I had tickets to see Albert Hammond Jr. in Sydney and cancelled due to illness so I know how it feels. I was crying etc. it was quite pathetic but it is such a disappointment no matter what the reason. I got no email from anyone apologising, just this thing about a refund from the venue. I was so confused and upset but luckily it was a few days before we left so we managed to salvage some of the money. Woah way off topic rambling. Sorry. Glad to hear a bit more about the reason though. I was really worried about Craig when I read about a 'fit'.
