Someone that has never heard of The Vines or just listens to them every now and then, probably won't remember all their previous singles and compare them, they will go either "ooh, nice tune" or "ugh, change the station". I mean, to someone that will hear it on the radio, the song will be just that - a song. One that either grabs their attention or leaves them indifferent, and previous single choices have very little to do with it. Well, perhaps releasing a song closer to their 2002-2004 singles might even be a good thing, since maybe it will sound familiar enough for the listener to try to place it and look it up. Personally, I like MerryGoRound better, though.
True, but they will want this single to be successful, so that more people hear it on the radio.
And If He's a rocker wasnt that successful, why do they think releasing another song just like it will be any more successful.
