'Get Out' is their new single.. Is that true? I thought it was 'MerryGoRound'??

Probably. biggrin.gif

Unfortunately it does look likely now.
Its been introduced twice on tv as the next single, so I think its pretty much confirmed.

A big shame, because MerryGoRound would have been a soo much better choice.

I like Get Out. I was actually hoping it would be the next single. smile.gif

I like MerryGoRound but its not as commercial. The tempo changes throw people off and take getting used to... it's not really very good for a single. I was surprised they were thinking of releasing it as a single to begin with.

fair enough. i kinda see what you mean.

For me Get Out is just a really bland single choice.

Its not as aweful as he's a rocker, but just as bland.

Kind of the same old same old choice.

You think that because you're already a fan and know their previous singles. Someone that has never heard of The Vines or just listens to them every now and then, probably won't remember all their previous singles and compare them, they will go either "ooh, nice tune" or "ugh, change the station". I mean, to someone that will hear it on the radio, the song will be just that - a song. One that either grabs their attention or leaves them indifferent, and previous single choices have very little to do with it. Well, perhaps releasing a song closer to their 2002-2004 singles might even be a good thing, since maybe it will sound familiar enough for the listener to try to place it and look it up. Personally, I like MerryGoRound better, though.

True, but they will want this single to be successful, so that more people hear it on the radio.

And If He's a rocker wasnt that successful, why do they think releasing another song just like it will be any more successful.

I don't think the songs are really that much alike. huh.gif
