Did anyone read the drummers blog about the situation? If anyone has the link, please post it. My dislike for the Follow has increased to utter annoyance, yet I feel sorry for the drummer. All he wants to do is make music with a band that he thought was fun. He even said that two members (I think we already know who they are at this point) have been displaying erratic beahnior lately. He says that he's ready to walk away from it all, and maybe even get a dayjob. And there's a lot of comments that are supportive of his wanting to move on. I don't blame the guy. If I were in his shoes, I think I would do the same thing.

Also, in hindsight, I think that filing a missing persons report for Azaria and KJ was the right thing to do. Now that both are found safe and sound, it sounds like they created a bunch of worry for everyone else. Again, I don't blame Jak, and the band's management. Reporters were bound to get wind of the story sooner or later. Maybe they felt the sooner they got wind of the story, the better, and by doing so, good citizens would start to alert the police, the rest of the band, and the management with tips of Azaria's and KJ's whereabouts.

Everything is alright.

I just got off the phone with Azaria. He wanted to let everyone know that he is safe and just needed to get away. We're taking a few days off to meet as a band and assess where we go from here. As we suspected, there was some tension in the band. Sorry for worrying everyone. We're so grateful for your love, support, and reports on seeing Azaria & KJ.

Hi all I'm in Las Vegas at the moment. 2 days ago i had learnt that i
was missing. I was unaware of the alarm it caused. I feel like I should
explain where my head and heart was at.


I was on a journey in my car to new york, to clear my head and follow
my heART. I am ok. I have been going through a lot of personal notions
about my life, and recording just got too much. We record differently
to most bands, as we record to analog tape - which takes alot longer,
and alot more pressure is put on getting it right. We feel this is the
best process and sound for us as a band..But in doing so, there are
alot of creative differences resulting in frustrations and greatness,
at times.


Anyway i have spoken to the band and we have agreed to lay the follow
to bed. This band has had a life of 6 years now, and we have done,
learn't and experienced so much in all of these years together, and
would never regret or change a second. It bought us to the strong point
we are at now musicially, within our writing, recording and live show.
We feel we are at our peak.


As any band and family, we have had, and will experience hard times
personally and creatively..but its never made national news before -
all of this media hype directed towards us as The Follow, has been the
final nail in the coffin for us. KJ, Jak and i have been talking alot
in the last 24 hours, and are in unison with our future steps as a
band. We want to invest our heART and soul, and continue to stalk the
new.



From here forth, we shall now be known as THEART.


Thank you to all our friends and fans for all your love and support. It
made me cry to read all the messages of love we received.



Jak, and KJ will meet up with me in Vegas tomorrow, to watch the Beatles love revolution, cirque du soleie show.


We are excited about this rebirth as a band, and will have some news on
our progression really soon. From this trip Ive written some new
material, and we're all really excited to get back to the studio.

This whole letter just screamed commercial jingles to me.
If all of this was just for the sake of gaining new audiences and self-promoting, then they are... the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked. (to quote H. J. Simpson..)

Maybe I'm the deluded one for thinking this way, but I tried to make some sense of it all..

No wonder Craig and KJ have broken up (the same article from last week was printed in several newspapers confirming the missing story, and yet at the same time confirming the breakup of Azaraia and Jess from the Veronicas and the breakup of Craig and KJ)! She just seems so selfish to me. And Azaria seems like a total douchebag to me!
What both Azaria and KJ need to do is not go to Vegas, but go back home to Australia, and have a nice, LONG talk with themselves. There are thousands of people, if not millions of people, that would give their right legs to be where these kids are. They are professional musicians-they need to grow up. I know that they are still in their early '20's, and their interested in partying and being self-absorbed (seems to be the theme of the Follow, no?), and thinking that dating people with even more fame than them will get them to where they need to go, but guess what? One day, that type of thinking is going to backfire on them. It won't work when they hit their late '20's or '30's and they haven't gotten anywhere-they need to say, "What are we doing? This isn't working, it's time to grow up!"-and they'll wonder why they haven't to where they should be. Maybe taking a break is just the thing they need. I know that with musicians (or actors, writers-anyone in the arts, including the performing arts), it can get competitive at times and you do get at each others throats every once in a while, but at the end of the day, you're getting paid to do something you love to do simply because you love it!
Azaria would throw tantrums if he didn't get his way-sorry, Azaria, but you're in a band, you're not a solo artist, and you can't always have it your way. KJ, I don't know about her, but it sounds like she's on something, and going through something, if she's appearing at a 7-11 shoeless, and without her wallet, and can't think straight. Turning up at a friends house in Venice, CA-without so much as a phone call to anyone to let someone know where she's at-would have saved a bunch of worry from Jak, the drummer (who I messaged on MySpace about this whole thing-he seems to have a good head on his shoulders), and management. The same thing goes to Azaria-getting in your car to go somewhere is one thing. But not letting anyone knowing that you're driving for five days to NY to see your ex without so much as a phone call seems immature. If Azaria and KJ were thinking rationally and logically (and drugs do destroy your sense of logic and ration, if I'm accusing them of being druggies-that may not be the case, but given their recent behaviors, it's not that hard to think that-I'm sorry for that), they would have simply picked up the phone to let everyone else know that they are okay and fine-not pick up the phone and write messages on myspace and write a letter after the fact that they go missing and create all this worry. Trust me, this whole thing doesn't seem worth the equipment that they play with!
