does anyone else here have a real hard time with an attention on books? I'll read like the first few chapters and then never finish the book biggrin.gif

The Five People you meet in Heaven-Mitch Albom. Short, good, won't take too long to read.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time-Mark Haddon. Another short one that won't take too long to read.
The Jayne Austen mystery series-Laura Levin. Again, these are short, and a very quick read. And they're hilarious.

I agree, it's good if you have attention issues - you get really sucked in around 600th page and you can't put it down after that.

Yeah, I do have that. But I finish books once in a while. I didn't finish the picture of Dorian Gray and the Rolling Stones biography from the library... But I read some... four books... laugh.gif In the last weeks that I did finish. I drift off while reading though. Too often. laugh.gif

I suggest you put down the comic books, then.

If there's one particular phrase I wish I'd never have to hear again in my life, it would be "I don't really like reading". Not only does it make you sound, well, frankly a bit stupid, but the blatant generalizing is another thing that puts me off. It's like people who claim to 'hate pop music'. It's impossible to dislike anything that's got so many different genres one could easily explore.

I don't care if this sounds ultra pretentious, it just bloody irks me when people clearly aren't trying hard enough.

This is the only book I've read that I couldn't put down as of late.

Agreed, it annoys me greatly. I have trouble taking these people seriously afterwards.
