The Vines are back! Their new forthcoming studio album Melodia oozes awesomeness with its first single He's a Rocker being placed on high rotation here at [V].

[V] Live will be presenting The Vines exclusively in an intimate setting at The Forum in Sydney, where they will be performing all the tracks from Melodia LIVE. Melodia will be released Saturday 12 July, to coincide with this [V] Live: The Vines will air at 12 noon on the day of the release.

Channel [V] is giving you the chance to win one of fifteen double passes to catch the recording of [V] Live: The Vines. For your chance to win simply tell us: Why are you worthy of being the first to hear The Vines new album at [V] Live?

I have to sit down one day and actually tally up how many Vines gigs I've been to... I really have no idea - but I know it won't be 20.

I really hope someone can record this when it airs! I'm in the US at the moment so I can't see it, like many others here! (not that I get pay tv anyway ).

The show was amazing! Can't wait to see it on V, I know I said I'd be able to put it on the net, but I've just realised I have to drive out to central NSW on the 12th - 13th for placement so I may not be able to get the show up on the net till September. Hopefully there's someone else who can put the show up earlier, but if not I will put it up... just might take me a while . Anyway, here are some pics I took tonight:

Anyway, what are the songs like? Which one is your favourite? Tell me us all!

The songs were brilliant . I can't decide which is my fave... they're all fantastic . But if I were forced to say... Manger, AS3, Get Out and KJ are my faves. The guys also played Ride and FTW, at the end of which Craig threw his guitar in the air and it landed on this tiny girl from Switzerland (I think? Or was it Sweden?), she was okay though and Craig came down from the stage to apologise and gave her some hugs, Andy K also offered to send her some free Vines stuff. At the end of all that she looked pretty happy, even though she had a sore leg from the guitar . I can't wait for the album next week! The songs are amazing live, I'm sure they will be on CD too .

The gig was awesome yeah. I'm totally clueless as to what song was called what but they were great. The poor girl-turned-super-lucky was from Switzerland Ali, and yeah, Craig and Andy K were both so sweet to her. Actually, come to think of it, it has Craig in the pit, apologising to her and talking to other randoms at the end of the FTW video that I have. The majority of my photos sucked, but here are some the better ones:

The banner was four huge pages and people had drawn stuff all over the guys' pictures. On one page, Brad has fangs. You can see the Swiss girl's (I don't know her name... ) message on the right of that photo actually - "Thanks for hitting me with the guitar..."
