So I was just on Myspace and I saw an ad about the Vines for a secret show in Melbourne on the 26th, next week. I came here to see what anyone else knew about this, but I couldn't see anything about it so...?

The closest things have been NYC, I do believe...I dunno. Always too damn far away from me. I'm too broke to get a hotel room, and too fucking rape bait-ish to sleep it out in the car. So I'm always stuck at home, lying on the floor with a joint and listening to the "fuck the world" vinyl I got on ebay.

Maybe I should join Courtney Love's band and get in on the Craig mo-lesting, then I'd definately get to see them live, for once.

that is total crap that you're gonna be in the hospital during that time! I would be real disappointed too. but they should be doing more shows with the album coming out and I'd imagine them being back to Melbourne in the not so distant future

you have to add myspace secret shows as a friend....and then they post bulletins or blogs telling the wherabouts of the concert. If no one finds out I could post it here when they tell me cause I have them as a friend.....if I'm allowed

They are my friend.. here is hoping they do leave a blog or bulletin or something....
but if they dont, and you find out.. it would mean the world to me to know where they are.

So If it is announced on say Monday that they are playing at 'X' can we go to the place on monday and get a ticket or do we have to wait for Thursday to go and ask/get one?

In the secret shows bulletin it says "Tickets to the show are FREE and operate on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED basis". So I'd say you get a ticket when you get in.

Hmm yeah I'm not in Melbs though an gotta train it down. I'd have thought it would be announced before Thursday to give people notice. First come first served on Thursday or first come first served when it is announced?

It will mean 1st come 1st serve on Thursday. That's why me and my mate are getting there early. There has just been a bulletin on myspace from secret shows to say the venue will be announced soon.

How early do you reckon too early is? Do you have to line up for ages or can you just get a wristband an piss off for a while?

You just have to get there early and wait in line. If you leave the line you will lose your spot. As it's going to be a long boring wait I plan to take supplies of lollies and MP3 player to keep myself entertained

just incase people need it, this was the bulletin. went through 14 pages but i found it! and if advice is needed.. i went to the panic at the disco secret show in 06, got there 12 midday and like 200 people were there.. granted the vines don't have teeniebopper fans but i'd personally get there 2-3ish if it opens at 8, to make sure. like someone said above take your ipod or ds or something!

I so wish I was going! Now, for all you Melbourne people: video footage of anything would be amazing! Especially those we haven't already seen live recordings of on youtube

That show was amazing last night worth the wait. I didnt think i was gonna get in with that security guard not letting me through but my name was on the list.

New songs are insanely good why can't the album come out now!

Ahh the gig was awesome . Definitely worth the trip down from Sydney. I took heaps of pics and I recorded Scream so I'll put that up on youtube. I also got AS3 but I accidently deleted it! I'm not used to my new camera yet . Anyway, I'll have the pics and vid uploaded soon.
