i can see why people would be pissed off about all the downloading but like, i will be straight up here, there's no fucking way i'm buying an EP. i mean he's a rocker is going to be on the album, so really it's like i'm paying for just two (approximately 1 minute each) songs, and as much as i love the vines, i just won't do it. and instead of protecting all this music, it's kind of sad that it can't be shared so everyone can hear it. we're all vines fans here (obviously) so i just don't see how it's such a huge deal everyone makes it out to be. sad.gif

everything should be free.
if it was, then we wouldnt have to worry about poverty, social class, or stealing. you wouldnt have to steal because everything would be free, and everyone would keep on working (e.g. bank manager) because they know they are getting something in return (thier customer could be, for example, a baker.)
then it would all work fine. well there would probably be glitches, but that's my theory anyhow.
sorry a little off topic mellow.gif

but in today's world where people must make a living, then music cannot be free unfortunately.....well there is always limewire.

Yeah that'd be awesome, but it's never gonna happen as long as there are greedy sonsabitches. dry.gif

Don't they have a UK label? Why the no release.

I'm guessing no one in the US signed them sad.gif

you guessed correct

sad to say it but the vines peaked a long time ago.
i highly doubt theyll resurrect the same reaction to this album as they did with highly evolved.

I find it strange it's onlt available on the australian itunes as you don't need a record label in each country to get it on itunes. my band got a distribution deal and no one knows who we are yet its gonna be on itunes in most countrys surely The Vines could of done that. Also the band take 80% of the profit as theres no record label involved. Maybe its just for this single and perhaps they are gonna release a single after the albums released in other countrys.

The band and management really haven't orchestrated this comeback the way I would have expected.

They're still a pretty high profile band and with myspace/facebook & youtube (which weren't around during the "glory days") there really should of been a much more aggressive assault.

I don't think He's A Rocker is an 'in your face' kind of song in the same way that Get Free or a Ride was.

I think they can still achieve a top 20 album in the UK, just not with He's A Rocker as the lead single.

Get Out with an aggressive promotion plan in UK mags and radio would be the trick.
I'm sure NME would give them a cover.

Come on boys, you want world domination, you gotta work for it!
