You wait until you see them...check out their Europe dates over the summer/autumn you may be able to pull one in..I'm seriously considering Milan! But I really wish I could be at Splendor, the 'Bats and the Vines...heaven!! Nad...you got the "b" sides and rarities? They're touring in france but far and I don't have the money to go there, cause I already planned a week end in Disney and that I'm saving money to go to Scotland in September

Dan has an amazing talent for languages! He was speaking very good Norweigan last time I saw him, must of learnt it all off Tord and his (Dan's) girlfriend Ragnhild! I think I'll teach him some Russian next time I see him! He was even singing in Norweigan!! Whereas Tord is learning fantastic Scouse!!

Shame you can't get to see them though, you'd love 'em, they are such nice lads!

i love them too...they just played a gig 2 days ago in NYC at the blender theatre...blew the place apart...people were so funny, kind of moshing/dancing with each other with huge grins on their face....except for a few stiffs and the people sitting up in the balcony (how the hell you can sit still at a wombats concert is beyond me) - but anyways - I'm joining in the wombat love!

Poor little lads !

To be honest... and to throw something into the mix.... I hate this band. Mostly because of how much the guys voice makes me wretch and throw up in my mouth. There are certain noises that just make me want to kill babies and this guy's voice is one of them. I can't put a finger on exactly what it is I hate so much about his voice- perhaps his intonation, everything seems so over annunciated, and the way his voice is mixed into the albums is terrible. I'm sorry.... just can't stand anything they've done.

... we're going to regret the current music scene in the same way we regret the 1980's. It's embarrassing how awful and generic everything is at the moment. And I blame bands like the wombats for a lot of it. They sound identical to the pigeon detectives. I've never seen such a celebration of hideousness and mediocrity in my life. It's all awful. The world needs a band to make everyone see that this is all shit.

Fuck me, I do agree. We're living in a world where Arctic Monkeys are supposed to be the token rock revivalist band, which I think says more than enough.

I'm honestly embarrassed to be part of a generation that thinks that any of it is good music. As for the haircuts and clothing that are coming along with it..... fuck me- it's awful. I went to London for the weekend last week and was hoping to come back with loads of awesome new clothes- not a bean. It was all 80's revivalist shit. Awful, just awful. The sooner we get back to proper rock the better. I've got a few albums to tide me over in the hibernation period in the mean time.

i saw the wombats last month, there soooo good live!! and the nicest guys i've met in that are in bands!

They are really great fun to hang out with! Such darlings!! Can't wait until November to see them twice again!!
