i'm not entirely sure to be honest...i havent really been keeping up with the vines photo's
it was new to me, but i'm guessing you guys may have seen it before

I've been noticing that everyday The Vines have been the number one Australian indie artist on the myspace charts, and they've maintained that place for over a week now. Above the likes of Wolfmother, Silvershair, The Living End and The Presets.
I know it's not the most prestigious of charts but it's still something, and I'm quite proud

^^They've also been the second top-selling product over at InSound ever since preorder was made available (at least at the times I bothered to check). Not as good as top spot, but they're two spots above Beck, so ha.

Just wondering...did Craig play all the instruments for the cd? There's no mention of the other members on the cd and it says all tracks by C. Nicholls. It has been done before by other artists, then the rest of the band just does live performances. Seems like they would be mentioned otherwise. Anyone know?

Nah, don't think that's true - the whole band went to LA to record the album, and I know that Hamish and Brad did their parts in about three weeks or something like that, so they were definitely an important part of the recording process.

Perfect openning in my opinion, fast, energetic and fun fun fun, lovin it!

Manger:
Wow this one is one of my many faves.

A.S.III:
It's nice how they make every AS diferent and make each one so important and special, really like it. Wish it was longer. But thats the good thing that they made this AS short to not be too predictable, nice

He's A Rocker:
What can I say, perfect first single. I would have picked either this or Get Out for the first single.

Orange Amber:
Beautiful song, very Beatles like. Good and catchy.

Jamola:
Very different forThe Vines to have an instrumental in the middle of an album, well cool! I'd be up for more in the future..

True As The Night:
My favourite slow song on the album maybe even my favourite song on the album, so beautiful would work well as a single.

Braindead:
Crazy! great fun tune! You can always count on the boys for a crazy song to mosh to, and this is one of them.

Kara Jayne:
Aww really really love this, makes me want Craig beside me

MerryGoRound:
Bring it on as the next single!

When I first heard the tracks on myspace, I was skeptical.

But man, was I proven wrong.
Myspace did no justice to the quality of this album.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this anywhere else, but I saw a copy of Melodia with a different back cover. Instead of just the track listing in that "handwritten" font, it's got a photo of the guys. Anyone else seen it? Of course, I had to buy it.
