"Melodia confirmed as title of new Vines album
The new long player from The Vines will be out July 12th
Early internet reports gave the working title as Braindead. But we heard direct from the band this week that it'll be called Melodia.
We also heard that when they were recording at Sunset studios in LA Courtney Love called a couple of times, trying to speak to singer Craig. She wanted to hang out with the band - but was told by studio assistants that because of a tight deadline they just weren't going to be able to catch up....
So no guest vocals from Courtney on this record!"

Well it was afterall, a joke, but even still...If youre speaking of Courtney and Harry meeting...Do you actually think Courtney can remember that far back? I mean, at that point Harry hadn't even dated Craig yet, so therefore, she was a nobody. Courtney doesn't hang with "nobodies" They have to have had sex with at least 3 notable musician/actors, or dated someone she deems as "cool" which really just means, "shes already tried to sleep with them." Courtney has also been waaaaay on drugs for a long time, you should see her posts on her message board, most are indecipherable, showing the long term effects of drugs.

Well, just yesterday, I was reading this interview with Victoria and Courtney and this is what Courtney said:

"I've know Harry since 2001 or 2002. We were introduced by our dear friend Alan Mcgee, who is kind of insane."

WHOO! I like how the album title can be understood in so many languages, plus it most likely describes the songs. So it's perfect. And I think I can already tell by the titles which are gonna be the pretty slow songs (Orange Amber?) and the death metal ones (Scream I'm guessing). Or I might be surprised, I'll just have to wait and see. DJFSJFKDJKJF:DLJ!!!

About 2 years ago we've sent a fans's booklet and a music CD to the Vines management. My song, Hey, I've written about 3 years ago, was included on that CD, they and Vines surely must have heard it. I hope it's just a coincidence, beacuse it's listed on 11th position of the Melodia.

The wait for this album is seriously weakening my devotion not that I don’t love them, but its taking its toll (being sidetracked by other bands). I'm looking forward for new music to immerse myself in and be re-acquainted with my Vine love
Hopefully I will have had my HIM fill, so I can fully soak in The Vines

Anyway, track list is interesting.

The word "Hey" is probably in the top 5 most used English words. I bet you it's a completely different song with the same title...

So you have copyrighted the word Hey?
No one has heard the song yet so you can't really say that they stole it. The title perhaps but I'm sure they wouldn't do such a thing and steal someone elses song like that.

I'm pretty sure that can't be the artwork, or the website design. The green version of Vision Valley's artwork has been used to promote (albeit in a very small scope) He's a Rocker ever since it was released.
If you are subscribed to Ivy League's newsletter, you've received a few emails with that specific design.

Hmm. Craig looks way cool in that centre shot. And I like that tiny little piccie in the background in which Ryan is leaning on Brad. But besides that, it's a bit ... crowded for such a tiny space.

If that is the album cover then eew. It looks like some bad Photoshop blend. Oh, Vines, stop disappointing me.

I think it looks fucking awesome. Kitschy, for sure, but it does grab your attention straight away. I hope it's the real thing, because it doesn't look awful to me at all.

Then again, most people on this forum seem to want the band to be doing the exact same bloody thing for as long as they last.

I don't think that's really the album cover.. Maybe someone's trying to trick us..?
But if it is, I guess it's pretty cool.. It's a good idea, at least, it would just look better without all that green mess around the edges.

It's just weird, though, because if that is the album cover, it looks completely different than the new music sounds.. It doesn't really seem to fit the songs I've heard so far, I don't think. I mean, usually the album artwork matches the music, like Winning Days looks all colorful and psychedelic, and most of the songs on that album sound that way too.. Vision Valley is just black (with the exception of the white writing/vines of course ), and a lot of the songs sound really dark.. I guess this isn't what I'd really picture for the new songs, if I'm making any sense.. haha But The Vines know what they're doing, so if that is the artwork, then great.. And if it isn't, that's great too. Whatever they end up doing, it's going to be awesome, because it's The Vines.

But, yeah.. I actually kind of like that, in a way, even though it isn't what I would have expected. I think it's kind of Beatlish.

I'd rather the Vines stayed the same than what they're doing now...terrible single, terrible video, terrible cover, what's next...what the fuck is going on...the Vines are the only band I never expected to ever become lame...but they have and it's fucking disappointing...
