Orange Amber

i didn't rly know what to think when i first heard it but after listening to it more its really grown on me. he's a rocker is, in my opinion, the worst song. i can't really pick a fave yet, but i'm satisfied with it. something is sort of different about it than the other albums, but seems like a good change. hooray.

Seriously, He's a Rocker has totally grown on me.

Honestly, I think the worst song on the album is "Kara Jayne." It's so drony, and it's a huge dip between "Braindead" (awesome) and "Merrygoround" (even more awesome). It is the Country Yard of Melodia. And I kinda wish he'd just sing "Kara Jayne" instead of "Baby Girl," that phrase got old real fast for me.

Well, I like Country Yard, but I agree Kara Jayne is just kind of boring.. I liked it a lot when I heard it live, but the recorded version is just kind of plain.

That is exactly what I thought! the beginning especially made me think of The Silents. Yes I too think it is a beautiful song, if not the most beautiful song on the album.. actually.. equally as beautiful as True as the Night.. that song is epic!

i think some songs are a bit overproduced/like hes a rocker and get out.they are not rough enough=)

im surprised by merrygoaround.its crazy in a good way!

and some songs are to short like as3 and girl i knew..no outros..and lets say piano and backvocals are too quiet(as3)

on some songs there is some strange reverb.

and i like how the album is jumping... quick slow quick slow..

and im a bit dissapointed about as3...it should be longer ...the vines song are unique becouse of crazy outros like in homesick or in the jungle , country yard...but its great song anyway....

but otherwise is just a fockin great album!=)
better then vission valley for sure...but i like winning days just a bit more becouse winning days is just an epic song in my opinion.yeah highly evolved is first.

Regardless of who is right, the point still stands that it was back in 2004.... I'm sure Craig's not still hung up on it enough to be writing songs about it 2, 3 or maybe even 4 years later. People move on.

You've presented nothing that proves I'm wrong. I'd be happy to admit I was wrong if I was presented with anything that takes away from my point- my point being that, no matter what the length of the relationship, it's so long ago that no one gives a shit about it now- let alone enough to write a song about it. The day I'm wrong is when Craig says that the song is about that relationship.

That's pretty wild if that's true...ummm, yeah what Ursa said! I'm pretty lonely and need to get laid. I remember when I first seen the tracklisting the first thing I noticed was all the songs about girls...She Is Gone, A Girl I Knew, Kara Jayne, Orange Amber (amber's a girls name), Jamola (could be a girl's name). But Hey and Scream actually sound like they're about a relationship.

I actualy didnt know they put it all on Myspace, Why did they do that!? But yeah, I still havent heard the album either I'm waiting but it is SO hard. But I'm going to a music festival from tomorrow till Sunday so that will take my mind of waiting.. I hope! I'm lovin all the positive replies about the album though!!

I downloaded a leak last night (don't worry - I'll be buying the official release.
So - first impressions? So-so. Initially dissapointed by the fact that almost all the songs are around two minutes long! A first rattle through and the most obvious thing that strikes me is that the songwriting seems to have regressed. Well, not exactly regressed but certainly not developing/maturing in the direction I had hoped after VV.
BUT, don't get me wrong. I think it is a GOOD album. There are some cracking tunes - I just don't think the two-minute blasts are as musically involving or rewarding as say, 'Going Gone' or 'Spaceship'.

Just listened to it again and it is growing on me. 'Merrygoround', 'Hey' and 'AS III' are stand out tracks.

OK, LOL, you can add 'Manger', 'Orange Amber', 'True as the Night' and 'Get Out' to the list!!

Yeah, I think it kind of sounds like that too. Or maybe "searching with a home" or "searching with a heart," but neither of them make any sense, so I highly doubt it...
