I seriously love how every single topic on here always goes completely off topic. from craig's accent to political issues
It's interesting though. and most of the time it is my fault becuase I ramble myself into different subjects.
and yes Stephanie, I really think people should know more about guns. My stepdad used to (or still) has guns, but if he does they are somewhere else other than the house (it's a long story but he goes and stays at many places). What I think is VERY important is having guns locked away really really safetly from children. that is the top most important thing if you are going to have guns in the house. But in Canada you guys don't seem to have things like school shootings and I'm sure your crimes involving guns are lower than ours. I think the US needs stricter rules on guns personally

Yeah you are right. Our gun laws are way stricter (though still a ways from being sensible). Though I have access to guns because of my dad, in order for me to acquire one myself, I have to go through a registration and licencing process (not everyone does this though, we are still in transition I think). And it is illegal to have a loaded or unlocked gun in any residential house, unless you are a cop or something......in that case I am not completely sure. It's strange because per capita, Canadians have more guns than Americans but we don't have the problems you seem to have. I think it's more in the mentality. Americans live more in a culture of fear than Canadians, we feel less of a need to protect ourselves from unknown dangers. American government and media seem to like to keep the population perpetually afraid.
In Canada there are over 10 million guns in 7 million homes.

The thing with Bowling For Columbine is that they Micheal Moore made Canadians sound like saints. He went to Windsor and Sarnia to prove that there are less shootings in Canada or whatever you want to call it. If you go to places like Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto, those are the cities where most of the murders take place. He should have went to one of those cities to at least say that there are still killings. They made Canada sound like a paradise or something.

Have you heard this:
http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=06MFPVN...FR17NIU3T9WESLF It's Craig talking for some radio show. What is he saying? I don't understand anything but something like: "I'll be right here..."

HAHA!

What a classic!

That's the most incoherant I've ever heard Craig speak

.
I think it was something like:
"Awww you got this hight right so it's okay like. I'll just, I'll just, this is about it, no wait. I'll be out here a little while, so, so I ain't got, yeah that's right."

I love it so much, that quote is going in my sig, even though I probably didn't get it completely right, I don't care. It's going in

. I hope it doesn't turn out to be something that makes sense (although I highly doubt it

) it would ruin the fun. Awww I love Craig sometimes, heh heh

This is also true. Michael Moore is definitely a propagandist. But what I like about him is that he does the same things as the people he is against, but twists it around on them. So funny. Canada definitely has it's share of problems too. For example, we love to complain about how the US exploits us (which they do) but look who we have in power!!! We let the US do it so can we really blame them? Our government is a fucking mess, we have lost democracy....unless your idea of democracy is a choice between a liar (Martin), a militaristic, pro-life psycho (Harper) or a middle class hater (Layton). I don't how how many of you Canadian members voted last election but I for one, saw no real choice on my ballot.
For the record though, I like Layton. THe problem with the NDP is that they want so many social programs that for poorer provinces it results in people like my mom working her ass off to contribute to social programs that she is not allowed to take part in (because of her salary level) so that people who do not or cannot work can live better than her. Somehow doesn't seem fair. Layton is a good guy though. He is better than the other two morons.
Anyway, I am done my political rant. Thanks for letting me get that out.

^^I don't know anything that's going on with the whole political thing in Canada. I've just completely given up on that. I'm not even old enough to vote anyway. It's still good to know about though. But in the end, they're all idiots to me. And with that whole thing that you said with Layton and how he's trying to do all those social programs is stupid. I hate to judge so fast seeing as I barely know anything on the subject, but from what you said, I have to agree, it does sound unfair.

I think he was really tired...or maybe he was thinking about whatever the hell he was trying to do so bad that the words just kind of slured...and collided and made no sense

I love how they made it into a contest, I almost died when I heard that the contest was to decifer what he was trying to say ....but how did the radio station know what the real answer was?

...oh and I couldn't understand the dude, what did craig leave in the studio and they were giving away?

You could always have them cryogentically frozen, that way people in 1000 years could go and marvel at Craig's cookies in perfect condition.

I would be wondering why Craig had cookies to begin with. Don't you think they would be smashed or half-eaten if they belonged to Craig?

May 17 2005, 01:34 PM
Oh, Allie.

I think I'd rather have the half-eaten cookies than cookie dust. That way I can take saliva samples from the cookies and have my very own clone of Craig.

May 17 2005, 01:57 PM

I'm not sure if another Craig would be a good idea though. I think one is enough, although it would benice to have Craig around the house to do chores and teach me guitar without ripping the house to shreds.

Maybe we can make the clone actually like touring and whatnot, that way the original Craig can record more things and make more CD's.

But a Craig that likes touring just wouldnt be the same...
allie9609
May 17 2005, 02:19 PM
Well since the dislike of touring is probably because of the Aspergers... In some people Aspergers is caused by a deletion on the X chromosome - so all you'd need to do is fill up the deletion on the cloned chromosome with a coding region taken from someone else's X-chrom and there you go. Ta da! (I'm sounding like a bit of a mad scientist here

)

Heh heh, nah I'd never want to change my Craig clone - the original is perfect so why change it?

(not that what I said about transforming the DNA from another person into the deletion region of the subject would work anyway since it would cause other problems... but that's beside the point. It's not like I'd actually do it.... MUAHAHAHAHAAAAA...uuhh, I mean hehehe... *cough*

).

May 17 2005, 02:46 PM
That actually made sense to me. I feel smart.
We're pretty on topic, I mean the topic is of Craig's accent, and we are talking about Craig after all, just not his accent. I think I did good, usually I talk about things that totally arent related to the topic at all.
To be completely on topic though: Craig's accent is one of the cutest things I've ever heard.
