How is listening to The Beatles, Nirvana embarrassing? I don't understand, two bands which changed a generation of people.

Bands like The Jonas Brothers, Madina Lake, Panic at the Disco etc are all conventional & still particularly awful bands who no one should like.

I suppose I have a soft spot for La Roux, although being a modern day Depeche Mode/Yazoo type artist, possibly nothing wrong with the duo?

Hm, I guess a lot of people may say Limp Bizkit is embarrassing, but I love 'em.

it's just that a lot of people at my school listen to either metal, hip hop or whatever is in the top 40 but I feel kinda weird when I tell people that I listen to the Beatles except for teachers

Yeah but they're just giving in to the conventional fashion. Being an individual with listening to quality music is not embarrassing, while listening to 50 Cent would be.

when I was in primary school I didn't like much of the stuff that was on the top 40 and pretty much listened to the Beatles instead...though I did have a John Williamson fascination when I was 8 years old (he's an Australian country singer...)

people hate Amy for her drug and alcohol addiction without realising her talent and that she suffers from depression...

the most ironic thing about this thread is that people are getting heckled for liking good bands..


anywho. that will not be the case for the list i have in store. i'm definitely not embarassed- i truly love pop music:

i also have the miley cyrus album on my itunes and whenever i tell anyone that they become very uneasy hahah
