Yeah same.. i own all three of their albums so the fourth would be nice to add too the collection. Plus i love the sound quality that CD provides I can definitely notice it especially if you listen with headphones (unless your someone who listens to screamo music at a ridiculous level then yeah you might not notice:P)

I would do it... maybe. BUT I would buy the album when it actually is released. I've done that with other bands too. BUT I'm overly excited for this album so I'm willing to wait until it's released and not dowload it. Just to keep up the excitment when I get the actual CD.
But you gotta buy the album, I mean you have to support the band and stuff.

If I stumble across it I will. I won't go hunting for it. I would still buy the album though. I hope I don't see a link then I won't be tempted and will just wait.

No....mostly because I never download music....I prefer CDs and I'm in no major rush to hear it I can play the waiting game.
i've downloaded one song illegally my whole life 'turn it up' by the robots in disguise....thats it...and it's nothing to do with morals...simply because i like listening to music in my room and by rubbish CD player doesn't play burn CDs.

I already have a few tracks downloaded, but I won't download anymore cause I want to get the CD. Not long to wait now

No, I'd definitely wait till the album was released. Whenever I get impatient and download songs before they're released it kind of spoils it when I actually buy the cd on the release date. There's just something special about having the cd itself and sitting down to listen to it for the first time all in one go. So yeah, I'll happily wait

.
And just a friendly little reminder for anyone who is tempted to post leaks on this forum that it is against the forum rules and can result in membership suspension

I've been getting antsy for some new material, so I will download as soon as its available...and then I will run out to the store the day its released in the US and pick up the CD.
The Vines are one of those sacred bands, ya know. It can't be all digital.

No, i dont like downloading songs/ albums that i have high expectations for as allie said it spoils it when you do get the cd in your hands. I just want to lock myself away once i buy the cd and experience the album as a new and fresh inspiration to me, or so i'm hoping.

I have to. I mean, I will buy the albums, without a doubt, but my copies of Winning Days and Vision Valley all have this thing on the CDs to prevent copyright infringement, so I can't turn them into digital files and I'd have to download them. I'm always carrying my mp3 player around with me and I don't use i-tunes, so I guess I don't have a choice.

But I'm not gonna go look for them until I own a copy of the album myself (it's gonna spoil the fun)

, which by the way, have the guys decided a name yet?

I don't know though, personally I have no problem downloading it as if im over the CD in the month (or however long it is) before it comes out then it isn't really worth my money. If i buy a cd i want to listen to it for years too come. So i guess it's more of a try before you buy thing.
That and also the vines are one of my favorite bands, so it's good to give them as much support as possible.

downloading doesn't mean anything as long as you still buy CDs.
i bet each real fan of The Vines already has all their CDs and is willing to buy this other one too.
i can't really tell if i'll be patient enough to wait until August. Maybe i'll download a few tracks, but this sure doesn't mean i won't buy the album.

Yeah i agree with you, i will be downloading this for sure but i will still be buying it. I look at it as the leak tides me over until a quality release (the physical copy)

i can wait until the official release BUT...since it's only going to be released in oz for the time being, i'm of course going to order it from there but i'll have to snatch the dl's from some aussie to tide me over until it arrives by mail on my side of the world - which usually takes 7 days. i won't be able to wait a whole week to hear it while you aussie peeps jizz about it here on the forum.
it sucks they can't just go ahead and sell it thru iTunes worldwide when it's released.

they haven't yet signed to any labels outside australia, correct? if that's the case, there's not a way to distribute the cd in countries outside of oz. it depends on ivy league getting some label(s) in the UK and US onboard to help release it in those and other places - and even then, it may not be released the same time as in oz depending on the deal made.
don't worry, we'll try and get some kind of confirmation from mgmt/ivy league so we'll have our p's and q's straight for the release of the album!

Ah crap. I thought they were still signed to Heavenly for Europe, though.

Ah man, is that really true that it's only going to be releasd in Oz? I truly hope they get signed to a label here in Europe. Argh, this is just making me really sad knowing that we might not get it until even later.

There's no way I could resist the temptation. It seems like most albums leak these days, and I'll be scouring the web as soon as I catch wind of it. But I'll get the CD as soon as I possibly can, even if I have to order it from Australia.

Don't know how I could possibly resist!! I'd have a long think, then probably download it.
BUT I'd buy the album as soon as it was out. Nothing beats owning the physical version.
