Their name didnt ring a bell but for 8 bucks it was worth a shot. Needles to say i don't hear any sucking in the music. I reserve the word "suck" for Jet etc. Most people are probably just hating on them without hearing the tunes and because of the band member associated with Craig. I also believe this band was meant to be recording in Nick Launays own studio so i doubt he runs his own personal studio like a commercial studio with lame sign out sheets.

I find it pretty funny that you accuse just about everyone and anyone (or is it just girls on this board?) that they hate what they really don't know anything about, when you clearly know nothing about people you accuse of such things. It's not exactly the same thing if i am basing my view of fan girls on the words they shoot off formulated by their mind in other threads. All they've got is just some photo and suddenly any chick Craig dates is some sort of monster. You can say their comments are jokes all you want but it clearly reads like a crazy obsession. I'm not saying all girls that like the Vines are fan girls but there are a fair few still around considering their peak for them was 2002 - 2004.

No thank you i'll be right i don't need no step by step explanation of "why is so". 'Cause i already know it is not the same thing. I am judging their behaviour in a certain area of life (Vines fandom) whereas they are judging Craigs women as a whole and a person and proceeding to rip them apart from the ground up. I'm judging a single and they are judging a full blown LP basically.

Sorry, but I don't see how Borgy is being hypocritical here. The fan girls were initially hating on KJ based on a picture, then on a request to join Courtney's band. Admitedly, now they also have the whole disappearing thing on their side, but the hate was still pretty instant and without grounds, other than that she was with Craig. Borgy's comments are coming from observations of that behaviour, and those comments have not accused anyone of being a bad person (unlike most of the comments geared towards KJ), rather they were implying that such behaviour is childish.

Are we even talking about the same thing?

It basically says, as I said before, "you're just jealous", aiming to discredit any negative opinion one might have of THEART. It says that the ONLY reason we're hatin' on the band or dislike the band is because KJ happens to be both a member of the band and Craig's girlfriend. That's like saying: "You only listen to The Vines because you think Craig is cute." While there probably are people that do that, you probably know that it's perfectly possible to enjoy the music without masturbating to a photo of Craig at the same time - or in this case, dislike The Follow THEART without using a photo of KJ as your dartboard. We may know of The Follow because of Craig/KJ, but that doesn't mean we dislike them because of Craig/KJ. I first heard of The Music because Craig used to wear their T-shirt a lot and they toured together and all, do you really think I like their music just because OMG Craig likes them?

Kind of. I'm not arguing that the comment is true, and I know it's not for most of the people here. I'm just saying, it doesn't make him/her a hypocrite. Borgy has obviously formed the opinion after reading all the crap about them here, and can you really blame him/her for coming to that conclusion?

I don't think I used the word 'hypocrite' as I think it would be exaggerating to call him that over something so trivial, but he kind of did the same thing he accused people of. He doesn't know much about people's motives for 'hating on' the band, yet the main issue he has with it is that those people supposedly don't know much about them and their music. I don't get why it's wrong to dislike a band until you've listened through their entire backcatalogue or form an opinion on them without knowing them, yet it's perfectly acceptable to diss an entire group of people because of a select bunch of often tongue-in-cheek posts on a forum. I do understand how you can get the impression this whole board is just a bunch of crazy obsessed fangirls that hate everything about KJ within a few degrees of separation, though.

Who cares who Craig was dating? Azaria and KJ obviously used this tantrum that they both threw to get publicity for the already shitty band. What a bunch of dipshits!
There are better ways to get publicity other than going away for several days without telling someone or dating someone more famous than you are.

Continuously complaining how we all talk about his girlfriend too much for your liking isn't going to help things or make news magically appear.
