I find the song pretty awesome! And I don't find it "same old same old" as I think that a few singles have seemed to be in the past (not that I ever thought that were bad, just that they could have picked singles that sounded a bit more different).

and when the big explosions went off in the back at the end, hamish should have hit his drums and hit them hard.

I enjoyed it much.

I don't think you have to be amazing to sing backup. and I don't think that you have to be majorly talented to be a great vocalist. It sounded pretty cool to me on the mp3 (the video is still on 0% for me and I started the dl ages ago, lol). Craig doesn't always sing so perfectly either, I think they sounded cool together. But that's just my opinion!

To be a good vocalist you don't need talent, you just need to teach your body to do unnatural actions (sounds kinky haha) and practice a shit load.

For example if you want to hit a higher note, you actually have to think in your head that your singing down on the note not up and the second you think about singing up you fuck it up. It's pretty hard but once you get the hang of it you think to yourself "well damn that wasn't so hard now was it"

Its actually pretty hard to play bass and then sing back up at the same time. But maybe he didnt have an earpiece in...he probably couldnt hear himself, hence him being off key. Im talking about Brad. But overall I didnt enjoy his voice at all. This'll be the first time I'll say I preferred Patricks bass playing and voice. And thats a big thing for me to say cuz I have my own reservations about Patrick. but anyhow...

It sounded a bit weak and off key to me...It seems like a departure from how well they were doing with the Vision Valley performances.

Im just hoping for some stronger songs and performances.

I've always thought his and Craig's voices didn't match really well. But then again, Ryan is closer to Craig's range and colour but he's far too quiet.

Yeah I totally agree, I've never been a complete natural at singing and I always thought there was no way I could do it at all until last year. I've done some voice lessons and alot is about working on pitch with your ear and kinda knowing how it feels to sing a certain interval. Well for me. And smoothing over that "break" where you go from your low voice to your high voice. But other than that I think that even if it come out kinda rough it still can be great cause it's also about attitude and delivery. Someone can be an amazing singer but if they had no attitude or emotion going on then I wouldn't necessarily be entirely impressed with them as a vocalist.

Anyway, back on topic, the download of the video doesn't seem to want to get past 0% for me I'll try tomorrow!

Awww, I know. I was hoping that would change when he had to sing more back-up after VV was released, but it seems he's just handed a big part of it to Brad, which is such a shame; I know he could be really great if he wanted.
