Vines knock mockers with a 'Rocker'
The Vines have announced that first single from their forthcoming fourth album will be called 'He's A Rocker'.
The new album, released in July, was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Rob Schnapf, the man also responsible for Highly Evolved and Winning Days. The group recently played in the US as part of the South by Southwest conference and also their own shows in New York and Los Angeles. These shows were met with mostly positive reviews.
'He's A Rocker' will get its first public airing when The Vines appear at the MTV Australia Awards on April 26. The single goes on sale in both physical and digital formats on June 28.

June 28th is way too long to wait for; you know, I'd expect the album to be out by then. But it's still better than nothing, and a whole lot better than lots of things so I'm content ... I think. And I'd definately have to order from overseas, which god knows how long will take. June 2009? I hope we could listen to some of the songs sooner on their MySpace though.

Do you have a regular digital camera? If you can't figure out how to record it directly off your TV, you can always use the old TV-to-camera-to-computer system - the quality is poor, but it's something.
Isn't Foxtel IQ like a DVR, though? I'm sure there is a way to get the video from the DVR's hard drive to the computer - does it have a USB connector in the back or something? Or can you record on a DVD?
or just ask someone whos good with technical stuff...somebody has to know how it works! and if not, just record it with your camera there has to be a way!!!!

I will be home all day tomorrow, which I will spend experimenting on how to get the thing onto my computer. No promises, but I'll definately have a go. And like Ursa said, the old digital camera to TV always works.
I am going to watch every single bit, even the HOUR LONG red carpet special just in case I see Craig. He better not be there with whats-her-name.
p.s. you guys can call me caity if you like

)Haha yes that would be me, i will be recording it straight to DVD from the TV. It's just its going to take a bit of time to get it from the DVD to my computer but thats cool. And it's good to know that someone else is grabbing a copy just incase mine doesn't work but it should!!!
