I am fucking fed up with the whole fucking lot of Adam Levine and his band. Im askin myself why I used to like his "This Love" or "She Will Be Loved". Ive gotten tired of his charmless face, which I must see each time I switch on MTV, for sure, with few whores. God. Theyre on right now. "I dont mind spendin everyday..." Yeah, you dont mind. But I do. I fuckin mind spending my time seein your face and listenin to your voice, sorry .
The thing that has made me the angriest is that my friends, who dunno anything bout Rock, always ask me: "You like Rock, thus why do you hate Maroon 5?" I dont think the garbage theyve played is Rock, and I dont care them enough to know what they actually play. Perhaps they play true Rock, but I hate them. Im sure that if my darlins such as Craig or Matthew loved Maroon 5, Id still detest them as much as I do now.

I dont particularly like Maroon 5 either... they are on my bands i do not particulary like list along with Jet, Simple PLan and Good Charlotte but GC is sometimes on there and sometimes not.

I loathe Adam Levine & Co. as well. In general, I am simply weary of mediocre rockstars using the premise of a music video to manipulate a steamy romp between themselves and anorexic, rat-like, raccoon-eyed models.

That Top Of The Pops comment is absurd. The vast majority of bands who have played TOTP have mimed, including, as Asparagus pointed out, The Smiths.

Maroon 5 are really ignorable -> ignore them.

at first they were just mildly hot guys playing average pop crap, but now that theyre so overplayed i cant stand to see their not so-hot-anymore faces. but i will admit that very, very deep-down i kind of like she will be loved. its a weird kind of liking though, i want to cut off my ears when i hear it, but i dont want it to stop. maybe i would actually like it if they werent horribly overhyped.

It really does seem that people here spend more time talking about artists that they don't like, instead of the ones that they do.

I'd go on about avoiding them again, but I fear I'll become a parody of myself at this rate. All I'll say is that I enjoy music immensely (it's one of my two, I guess, main interests) and I have only heard one Maroon 5 song. And I can't even remember how it goes. Therefore they are easily avoidable.
