Eeeeh more pics! Awesome.

I'm sure Craig's healthy, 'cause if he was anorexic wouldn't he be all weak and stuff? He seems to be the most energetic he's ever been.
Ewwww what a bitch, what a bitch! I don't trust her review because she obviously couldn't take a joke and seems too uptight to even get Craig's humor. Plus, she didn't talk about the music or how they played at all, just about their status. Wtf? She took some great pictures though.
Ahhh this review's much better.

I'm curious to know what this "Jamola" sounds like.
I got to see both sets at SXSW. I was standing in front of Ryan's set list at the Pangaea show and I'm fairly certain Highly Evolved was the first song listed. They did play something before it but it was like an intro to check their sound I think. They were amazing! The two new songs were really cool.

Don't worry. He took his shirt off at the end of the Aussie BBQ set; he looks healthy.

To be honest, I didn't even know the Vines were still around. Coincidently, after their set I was left wishing that they really were gone. I mean, when you're playing at SXSW I think there are a couple of things that you don't do. One is that you don't beg for a record label, and the other is that you don't specifically note that you're only interesting in "money and girls." Also, it may be an OK idea to not make it abundantly clear that you're totally washed up.
On a related side note, I was more than a little surprised at how many morons were in attendance to see Craig and Co. The band hasn't had a memorable song in an eternity, yet there were all these people there with their fists in the air. Strange, and maybe a little retarded."source
If you read the remainder of this person's review, you will find that he was enamored with the artists immediately before and after The Vines set (Nicole Atkins and Robyn respectively). The former was listed under the singer/songwriter genre, the later had a dance club hit in the 90s (which is even longer than an eternity according to his calculations). Obviously, The Vines were not his cup of tea. I found Craig to be funny, charming and even a bit humble. He was energetic and played to the crowd, especially the Billboard VIPs in the reserved section. That is, of course, the whole point of SXSW.
