02.12.04 Half of Vines make rare live appearance

THE Vines frontman Craig Nicholls made a brief but exciting return to the stage this week for the first time since being diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.

During his surprise acoustic two-song set at Sydney's Annandale Hotel on Wednesday night, Nicholls and Vines guitarist Ryan Griffiths unveiled a new song called Going Gone.

The pair also played the title track of The Vines' second album, Winning Days.

So I see no-one really discussed about this. How come?
I believe this news is very important for us because it gives us hope. I remember there were loads of posts starting with: "Oh I can't believe The Vines are breaking up...", "I'm gonna die without them...", "Now that Pat has gone is there any hope left?..." This is time to be happy! There is still hope!

But more than anything else I really want to know everything you know about this song. How does it sound? Where can I hear it?

Did you finally listen to it?
CrazyDaisy
Yes yes I did. It's very nice actually although the sound is bad. It was from some sort of show, wasn't it?
Jammeh
There are two live versions available. The studio version was originally going to be released on the Ride single but was left off and so remains unreleased.

It wasn't about Aaliyah. Craig was just taking the piss as usual. Wow people are so gullible.
