...I can't wait either, though I had a dream about "one of the songs" a couple of nights ago...I wonder whether what I heard will actually be on the album? ( ) But, I don't actually remember it anymore, only that it was indeed very innovative. It sounded like The Vines but simultaneously different from any sorts of sounds I've ever heard, it had strings, and it was beautiful and peaceful. It reminded me of water.

Dont believe anything you hear. The Vines are now on an indie label, so that makes it different now than when they were on Capitol.

April is only 3 month's away and have they even finished recording yet?

Even if theyre in the mixing stages, the first single is usually out a good month or month and ahalf to two months before the album is even released.

So no, I will say now and mark my words, the album won't be out in April.

Had a dream last night that the new album was called 'in dreams.' the first song was really pumping an awesome, the video was all these colourful lights of them all playing in a really dark environment. It opened with Brad playing a badass bassline over a some funky hamish beat. just thought i'd let you all know the good news.

Nothing's been confirmed yet. Last year, they wanted it out by September; then it was said it would be finished early 2008. They're playing Golden Plains in early March so I personally kinda expected it would be out, or at least finished by then, but the way things are looking, I would hope for May, maybe? But then again, I have no idea how far they've come so I could be massively mistaken.


DJ Jazzy Ry? OMG, love it. All he needs is a big phat golden chain around his neck with that written on it. EDIT: If you pronounce Jazzy Ry in a lazy way with a French accent it kind of sounds like Jazeera.

it can take anything up to as long as it took them to do the recording to mix the album. longer if they want- metallica's black album (as much as i hate them) took 18 months to mix. it's every bit as important as the recording itself.

assembling- i think you mean arranging- is done before (and sometimes) during recording in pre production- which it sounds like they did a hell of a lot of, even if it was without rob. they will have gone into the studio knowing everything they want, where they want it and how they want it to sound. which will explain why hamish and brad got their bits done so fast.

may I suggest that you mosey on over to DTI to get some recent news?
