GOLDEN PLAINS LINEUP ANNOUNCED!
Isn’t it time you took some quality time out? Got further in touch with whatever it is you want to get further in touch with? Caught up with some old friends, or made some new ones? Some rest and recreation might be just the tonic. Could we possibly interest you in a Premium Festival Experience on an Epic Long Weekend in the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre?
If the answer is “yes” or even “maybe”, then Golden Plains might be for you. And if that’s the case, please read on for details of the rather remarkable lineup we have put together/pulled off.
Golden Plains is a Premium Festival Experience on an Epic Long Weekend in the Greatest of Outdoors. It is staged by the team behind the cult-popular Meredith Music Festival, and is held at the same place in the same manner. It’s a one-stage, three-day, no-sponsors, celebration of music and nature.
WHO’S PLAYING?
Let’s just rip into it.
Golden Plains goes all day and night (twice) and everything takes place from the one stage, so you can experience every minute of all that if you so desire.
THE VINES
Looking back on the past decade of music, it’s not easy to determine the classic from the disposable. History often tells a different story than the popular tale of the day, and one simple event might inspire a million more. For all the hype that came with the arrival of THE VINES, their legacy lives beyond it - partly in the bands they inspired, from Little Red to Arctic Monkeys, who credit the Sydney band with the inspiration for their own adventures in rock n roll. And partly in the epiphany that is the current chapter of the band itself. It’s been a rollercoaster for the Vines; it seemed as though life as a touring band was about to end, but then came a true new dawn and a triumphant return to stage in 2006 for a run of career-best shows. Music is its own reward.
Now that the dust has settled, it’s time to fully enjoy the magic of THE VINES.
Also scheduled are:
SHARON JONES AND THE DAP KINGS, WEEN, IRON AND WINE, BEIRUT, OPTIMO, THE BANG GANG DEEJAYS, THE DIRTBOMBS, CROOKERS, BRITISH INDIA, THE BAMBOOS, SOUTH RAKKAS CREW, BUFFALO TOM, JAY REATARD, SCIENTISTS OF MODERN MUSIC, FUTURE OF THE LEFT, JANE BADLER AND SIR, KAMIKAZE TRIO, PIKELET, THE SEA AND CAKE AND MANY MORE.
TICKETS
The first allocation of tickets is being sold via a Ballot, before they go on public sale. You are welcome to enter the ballot, its free and easy.
To enter the Ballot, visit www.goldenplains.com.au before midnight on Wednesday 14 November.
All that, and more, plus all the best campgrounds, fabulous facilities, world’s-best-practice amenities and Trademark Atmosphere of the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre…all bathed in glorious Autumnal light. Epic.

If past experience with rob schnapf is anything to go by I would say that was optimistic.

Me, too!! I'm so jealous!! Evie, it's just a matter of time for us over here!!
They've gotta play Atlanta again before too long! And when they do, I'm gonna make sure Andre 3000 and Big Boi are there!

We see Andre around here semi-regularly. Saw him a couple of months ago looking quite the dandy, strolling to a concert in Chastain Park with a hot chick on his arm and a straw hat on his head. Next time I see him I'll run up to him, introduce myself in my loud & squeaky voice, and tell him his presence will soon be required onstage for a Ms. Jackson duet with Craig!!

I know you don't want to hear this Sara but if you really want to see the Vines perform, you're better off coming to the U.S.

Fuckers!

Second

They should come to Sweden - or Denmark.
But if they do come to England I think I could sacrifice myself and go there

As Ursa said, we'll just have to buy a bunch of CDs so they see how much we love them here

then they'll come and give us all a hug

To be frank, I'd rather never see them live than have Craig not being able to handle the pressure of touring and be the reason for it.
