Remember we mentioned The Vines would be included in an Ivy League 10th Anniversary album? Well get ready you lucky Aussies, because the news just got even better...

Birthday celebrations are afoot - Ivy League Records + Music turn 10 this year, so Ivy League are putting out an album and putting on some shows to mark the occasion. It goes a little something like this:

'TEN YEARS IN THE TRENCHES' is a compilation album they're relasing on October 20. It features tracks from The Vines, Youth Group, Red Riders, Josh Pyke, The Mess Hall, 78 Saab, The City Lights, The Stands, Neon, The Silents, Monarchs, Peabody and John Reed Club among others, as well as brand new song 'Out Of My Hands'. It's performed by the 1st Ivy Regiment Band, an Ivy League supergroup of sorts, and features the combined might of Josh Pyke, Toby Martin (Youth Group), Ben Nash (78 Saab), Josh Bitmead (Neon), Hamish Rosser (The Vines), Adrian Deutsch (Red Riders) and Patrick Matthews (Youth Group).

Next up, there are two 'Ten Years In The Trenches' gig extravaganzas taking place at The Metro in Sydney in November. Check it:

Not that there's anything wrong with hobo chic. I mean, we needed some male equivalents of Chloe Sevigny and Mary-Kate Olsen. But change, people! Change! Difference! Ohhh.

It seems like the boys are gettiing pretty active recently. I'm so happy for them, and for us! But mostly, I envy you lucky bastards who are gonna be in OZ on Nov 2 --This calls for some whining from someone trapped on a tiny dotted island...like moi. Oh "Who am I to be this way? Dreamin so insane..."--Nah, just joking. I hope you guys have the greatest time, and take loads of new pics for us...less fortunate souls.*starts whining again, ever so immediately*

I hadn't noticed anyone besides Ryan until I read the posts below and saw them mentioned. My eyes just got glued straight to Mr. Perfect. And his new haricut, of course. He reminds me of Winona Ryder a bit. I wonder if Craig thinks the same. Anyway. Ryan and a trumpet? I would love to hear him play it, no matter how awful it may sound.
What's with them not wearing the uniforms? (alright, so Hamish is wearing one, but he's actually sane enough to not get emotionally attached to his clothes). I love Hamish's expression.
Craig looks absolutely amazing. <3 He's obviously lost weight and now I think I'm gonna miss the chub. Now remember what I said about emotional attachment to clothes? Nvm that, Craig looks great in leather. And he's so pale, you'd think he lives in a cave in Greenland.
It took me the longest to spot Brad. I dunno, maybe it was because I was focusing more or less on the upper middle part of the photo. His chin is ... kind of shiny. And I really dislike his denim jacket.

Most probably. I wonder what he's hiding in there that he can't part from. Note that he wore it on his right shoulder (which he usually doesn't) so that the knot on the strap wouldn't be visible.
