Aww, you're the sweetest!

Aww, I wish we could all gather in one venue and go nuts together. *sigh*

Yeah!
An, thanks for the article

I think it's funny that you said "over there is a controversy comparable to the one here."

I think you have overlooked that the boys might have been faced with that list of songs to choose from and made the decision to cover this one for 2 reasons. 1) a song like the divinyls is so well known that to cover it would be a) nothing new and b ) incapable of eclipsing the original. 2) when they chose this song maybe what they heard (instead of some shitty screaming teens who use the word 'totally' far too much) is the potential for what they could do with it, and where they could take it. They won't have just gone "let's do that one because we like it" they will have listened to all of them (I hope) and thought about which one they could make the most out of. Bands don't just rush into the studio without thinking about what they are going to do, it will be exactly the same with the covers. Whatever choices they were given, they will have thought about it much more carefully than you give them credit for.
That gives me back my hope

I had a dream about the band and the new album

In it, it was Christmastime and I had just unwrapped it from red-and-green paper and it was black and blue, like three different shades of blue. Oh wow I wish that could be true...

It had one song on it (the only song I can remember now) that sounded like dlttr...but that's all I remember
