I'm sorry.

If I could, I would pay for your plane ticket and we could go together. Now that would be awesome! I'd much rather do that than drag my friends who aren't even a real fans.

Aww, you're the sweetest!

Aww, I wish we could all gather in one venue and go nuts together. *sigh*

Let's just hope for the best that they're capable of turning shit into gold...which I think they most likely will with that 4eva song.

And when they do that, they are entitled to take over the world.
And I went to check the Veronicas' forum to find out if their fans know about the song and if there's controversy around it comparable to the controversy over here. The response has been very small so far, but what I however did find is the whole article from which The Veronicas were quoted in the intial post. If anyone wants to read the segment, concerning The Vines, here it is.

One idea they have greeted as totally awesome (in Veronicas-speak) is The Vines covering their debut hit 4Ever for a new compilation, No Man's Woman, which features Australian male artists interpreting songs made famous by female singers. In unison, they proclaim their love of the band and their version of the guitar pop anthem. They go nuts when it is suggested that perhaps The Vines will adopt the song into their live set, as they have done for several years with Outkast's Miss Jackson. "They were the soundtrack for our American life when we first got to LA. Whenever we were going anywhere we would put in their CD," Lisa says. "I love it. We're so stoked. We heard it this morning. I love all the harmonies Craig Nicholls does. They've so completely made it their own, but they've stayed true to the foundation of the song. They've definitely put their edge to it."

But "the guitar pop anthem"? LOLOLOL.
