Everyone in Vines camp is excited about the new album being in the works and are glad that all the fans are showing so much interest.

Just to keep everyone updated on whats going on heres a bit of a progress report:

Craig has been immersed in writing and the band has been busy demoing the songs he's coming up with. They're about a month away from having about 25 fully demoed songs to pick and choose from for the new album. The guys are spending alot of time on it so that they have a wide variety of material to choose from and can smooth out anything they think needs a bit of smoothing out. Without having a label they have this freedom at this point. Once they feel they have a solid compilation for an album they will be choosing a new label and a producer and will get in the studio for final cuts.

We'll keep you all updated! A Septemeber release date is probably not going to happen but a 2007 release is very likely. Hang in there kids.

Now I'll just have to hibernate until it comes out because I'm perfectly incapable of doing everyday tasks now. I'm too excited! I wish they threw in a sample or two so we could get a vague idea of how it's going to sound.
God, can't they make it sooner? It's going to be such a LOOOOOOOONG wait. Have they checked the calendar recently? Post-September period is ages away. And I'll have to go through a couple months of school with this immense excitement blocking my mind processes. I hereby hold them responsible in advance for every bad mark I get. (Mom's gonna hunt them down for that, someone warn them)
This is just amazing news. I can't think of anything else to say. This silenced me for at least 6 minutes, which has never happened before.

Craig might put their fans' health first and decide not to release the album at all.

Nah, I think they'll keep their promise and try to release it this year after all. They had wanted to get the better part done by summer this year so as that fell through it would be only fair to us, anticipating fans, to get it on the shelves by the end of the year. I seriously can't wait much longer. I don't really care if they don't tour straight away cause there's only a slim chance of me ever seeing them live, but I want the new tunes so badly I'm getting adrenalin rushes just thinking about it. which leads to sugar cravings, which leads to gaining weight, which will eventually lead to a fatal heart attack. So for my health's sake, they'd better release it like NOW.

well i think since they've demoed them, it wont really take them that long to record once they've sat down and figured out which songs they want to use, i mean, so many bands go in and record an album in a week, so add a couple of weeks production time and i dont think its unreasonable to say it'll be out in time for christmas

I dunno, knowing it's coming nevertheless gets me happy, and I oddly haven't been holding my breath much for a this-year release. However, you are wery right about the Christmas thing. I've been really more excited than usual about Christmas this year...starting on the twentieth of August. Weird. Maybe, then, it will be released at Christmas and so this feeling is just my (divining) sub-conscious preparing me for the scintillation-triggered heart attack/gazzie/laughter fit I'll have then!
