In that case, that was a really tasteless, not to mention outrageously cruel joke. They shouldn't joke about things like that, they should just stick to naming yucky sex acts.
But they've said it, joke or no joke, and I'm totally holding that against them and I will go on a rampage if they don't do that. That should teach them a lesson about what not to say when crazy fans are listening what kind of jokes are off limits.

As I said, I'm going on a rampage if they don't release it this year. I've saved up a dime or two and I'm totally flying to Oz if the album isn't on the shelves this year. And I will rape, pillage and plunder.

I thought it would be more likely to be released in 2008 but it's all good as long as they get another album out there...They really need to get all the finer details sorted first.It would be awesome to have them back in brisbane again playing new songs after it's release.And to hear they might be going to america to do some shows is a great thing too,hopefully they find a great label that will let them have the freedom to do whatever the fuck they want to do.

and, unless your radiohead, they need a record label or poor blokes like me over stateside will have to pay 50 bucks or more to get it. I would od it, but it would be dandy if The Vines hit the shelves in America. Although hopefuly Im out of date and they already have a record label.

It would be really grand and splendid if updates on this blinkin' album wouldn't be six months apart, though. Y'know, just to keep a person or two interested. I'm not saying that they should go all crazy and write essays on how the album is coming along and I'm not rushing them in the least (okay, maybe just a tiny bit ) but seriously, a bit of band-fanbase communication would be superb. Just so we have a faint idea of how it is going, if they're doing alright, if anyone's been abducted by aliens, general stuff like that. They don't even have to type anything, they can just write a short endearing note down so I can obsess over their handwritings and stuff. It just seems like they're alienated from us, at least to me, who doesn't have their emails or an opportunity to chat with them ~all the time~. It would be really ~°awzum~° to see a scanned little dirty piece of paper, on which something along the lines of "Yo! Finished a song or two, found a producer, we're still alive." would be scribbled in a careless fashion. It would be way better than this suspense we're in. Or maybe I'm just an impatient brat (come to think of it, that's probably it).

You're not alone, Ursa! We've all been sitting here clueless for what feels like an eternity. I just had someone on another forum send me a pm asking me for news on the new album, and I had none! Kind of embarrassing. I really wish they'd keep us in the loop and let us know how they're doing lately. I get a little worried that Craig might be stressed out, so I'd love to hear an update.

i think they should film a short pantomime to tell us how the album is comnig along, that woud be rather enjoyable!

Exactly!! they need to do something ground breaking and different, to get them back out there, so why not bring it all to us in dance form, who wouldnt want to see ryan as a ballerina, craig as the nut-cracker, brad as cinderella and hamish as puss in boots!!!!

I know that we've got some new music to enjoy, but I still would like for us to hear something from Craig. Ursa's right in that so many bands are on MySpace telling their fans about every move they make, and I'm envious of how their fans are kept in the loop. I know that self-promotion is certainly not Craig's style - in fact, that's the reason we love him and want to hear how things are going for him. A paradoxical situation for us as fans...

Well, there are three other people in the band with the ability to write (I presume). Why don't they get the new pretty Bradster boy behind a typewriter to write a line or two? Or even better, they can pay a one-way ticket to Oz for me so I can follow their every step and write a detailed description about it.

Oh my gosh, I would. I volunteer to choreograph... There's a dance in Brazil called 'forro' that's nicknamed 'the Brazilian waltz' and the main idea is pretty much to waltz, lively while glued to your partner. Seriously, you hold on quite tight and all down your front sides are touching. I'll teach that.

Oh! I'm baking a cake the day before the album is out. Its' gonna be decked with their new song titles! You have to have at least one Vines cake per year!

They've already agreed to a concert in Australia in March, so it would have to be out by then you'd think?
They wouldnt tour if the album wasnt out would they?
So i'm guessing early early next year it will be out, especially since reports have said they've had the songs written for ages, and been rehearsing them, that and that someone said they weren't staying in America for long, so theyll have to at least have it recorded and in production . . . i dont know, maybe I'm just hoping it comes out next week so i can have it for christmas!
