In some songs there are parts that you can just go crazy at because they're so good laugh.gif
In this topic we're going to tell our favorite parts of The Vines' songs (if you have any)!
I'll start ;P

Autumn shade 2: the part where they sing "you are white and I am grey", it's just... great. I love the sound there :') It's cool o_o And the "Oooh" part is also great biggrin.gif

In the jungle: the part where they sing "you're never gonna get clean". Again, it's cool pinch.gif

Don't listen to the radio: In the beginning at the guitar part, somewhere around 05:00 and also the verse parts.

These are on the top of my top list biggrin.gif
mary_jane83
There's that part in 1969 at the very end of the song i completely worship. Y'know that part where in the BDO video, Craig puts lyrics on it and it's like 'IIII DOOONT KNOWWWW' laugh.gif I just found the chords SO great and bewtifool!
mooshell
Hey isn't that Autumn Shade 2 line "you am I and I am great"? That's ok though, I mishear lyrics all the time. laugh.gif Ok here's some of the eargasm/spine tingle moments in my opinion.

Amnesia- the whole 3:07-3:39 part, it sounds like...cleansing or something, if that makes sense. Maybe 'cause it's so um, *in hip hop voice* fresssshhhh. I donno.

1969- where it's just bass and Craig goes "oooahhh" and the guitar like "dunnnnnn", whoa tongue.gif

Animal Machine- where Craig says pretense and it sounds like his voice is shaking, then "FLYYY!!!...."

Dope Train- the screaming part from 2:12 and on

Autumn Shade- 1:41 where the piano and everything comes back in and of course Craig's voice is amazing wub.gif

Aaaand everything is just so perfect. I love this band so much. pinch.gif
PumpkinPieces
"save your money for the week you're gonna kill" from Animal Machine, the verse guitar is also very rockin'.

"I'm hearing voices in the trees, and footsteps in the rain" -1969, best psychadelic line ever.

in the jungle- the chorus and breakdown kick major arse, as well as the rest of the song.

YES!!

--

Gross Out - The part when the music stops and Craig's like "C'mon now let me feel the gross out!" and then stops again "C'mon I'll let ya feel the gross out!" (I love to sing along to that part!) and of course to the end of the song.

Animal Machine - I really like the guitar solo and when Craig sings with the drum and bass after it.

Spaceship - 3:27

Mary Jane - "Mary says I, I can love you"

Winning Days - Music stops, "I'm just seeing it rise" (I love how he says it in the aol sessions laugh.gif ) and then the instruments kick in again.

Rainfall - "The feeling is a weight that I'm under. Thought I heard her call my name in the summer."

Factory - 2:53 laugh.gif

Ain't No Room - "Going outta my head. Was it something I read."

Outtathaway - The drums after the solo and then "C'mon, now C'mon"

1969 - The heys and "When I get my buick six" ..and then "Dare I go, dare I stare I'm a seed of a man" (there's too many good parts..the whole song is just perfect happy.gif )

and of course the "OOH AHH!" in TV Pro smile.gif

..there's plenty more I didn't list ;_;
dani_california
I likes the 'ooh ahh!' in TV Pro

and the live outtathaway! from the homesick ep where craigs like
'it's great to be here and omm... it's great to be on a moving stage it's our first time...'

Country Yard - The whole song but I especially love the lyrics, "There's nothing in the secret garden, just images of blue and white."

In The Jungle - The beginning riff and, "So if you should need a hand, write down the address of the land, but I'm running out of time."

1969 - The harmonies when Craig sings the, "Hey hey hey," part.

Animal Machine - The second time Craig sings "I'm looking down by the streets end, girl you've been lacking a pretense."

TV Pro - Around 2:28, "Oooh aaah!" Awesome.

Autumn Shade II - Amazing, just amazing harmonies.

Evil Town - Right when Craig starts to sing, "She sells and I don't like it feels."

Winning Days - About 3 minutes through the song (the harmonies at the end).

Rainfall - "We were hiding from the rain and the thunder," especially but the whole song is great.

Anysound - "I am a Vine, all twisted and frayed," and, "Damage your health, or manage your brain."

Futuretarded - I like the beats. The part where Craig says, "It's like futuretarded."

Atmos - Guitar solo.
SaraGriffiths
Homesick: When in the chours say "Nothins gonna save you" and are the second voice..its really awesome

Give Up Give Out Give In: in the part "Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

Animal Machine - The second time Craig sings "I'm looking down by the streets end, girl you've been lacking a pretense."

TV Pro - Around 2:28, "Oooh aaah!" Awesome.

Absolutely astonishing.

Autumn Shade - "Slip into the autumn shade, I could sleep for days." and "Who am I to be this way, dreamin so insane." The whole song is so amazing, it's INSANE. Seriously. wub.gif

Autumn Shade II - The second time Craig sings, "I'm succeeding to speak like I'm fuckin maaaaaaad." And the harmonies are just ahhhhh beautiful... it makes me float.

Landslide - The guitars and drums, and I loved it when Craig screamed, "Straight from the heart".

Outtathaway! - The intro, especially the guitar playing. The guitar solo and afterwards, "Now c'mon ahhh..." are awesome.

Homesick - Just plain piano and Craig's voice in the beginning makes me shiver. "Nothings gonna save you" and the ending of the song was just beautiful.

The lyrics to Vision Valley.

Winning Days - "I've been tryin...I'm just seein it rise, cause it could be the land that's over me..." Oh, heck. I quit. Now really, what's the point of quoting when the whole song is a masterpiece? sleep.gif
pure_wonderment
The outro of Sun Child is amazing

The "get up and go outside, it can help your mind too. get up don't hide away..." it goes from sad-sounding to uplifting, it's absolutely beautiful

'I can see the leaves of golden glisten in the sun.. making time for everyone is wat i should've done, blue and green with eyes between are actin all the same, you and me are never free untill we're cast away... but it really doesn't matter, couldn't change it if i tried, though it really doesn't matter, i'll do it till i get it right.. yeeahhh" that bit is gold, as gold as the rest of it of course tongue.gif

Love the howling from 1969 smile.gif

Also love the guitar sounds of Anysound with that chunky "Do-Do-Do-Do" followed by the tight almost tapping noises like "ti-ti-ti-ti"

His vocals in Country Yard is so perfect and soft, it's as if he's singing it in your ear and each word just lingers in mid air
fuuuran

The ‘aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh’s in country yard

'So take me away from the corner, Let me hide away in the fauna' – Ain’t no room

The 'heys' from 1969

TV pro – love the mix tempo and the “OOH HA!!”

Autumn shade II – the second ‘I’m beginning to speak like I’m fucking mad’

Winning days – the guitar from 1:38-2:15mins; the part where Craig’s vocals come in real slow, a cappella; and the verse ‘get up and go outside. It can help your mind too. Get up don’t hide away’.

The beginning instrumental part of amnesia and then when the awesome vocal layering comes in. and I also love the ‘aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhs’ – they sound like a beautiful, contented sighs.

The first 20secs of Anysound.

The very beginning of don’t listen to the radio, before the vocals come in; and ‘I got no T.V.O.’ haha laugh.gif

Spaceship – the final line, ‘I’m leaving home’, and then the entire instrumental section for the rest of the song, especially the guitar going from 3:45-5:00mins.

The part where the acoustic guitar comes back in for the second half of true as the night, then the strings, then the drums, and finally Craig’s beautiful voice singing beautiful lyrics sleep.gif
