I'm madly looking forward to it, but i heard it dosn't have much piano on it. i love piano, especally in the white stripes.

Yeah, I was gonna say he looks like his good old self from back in the day! That's the thing I love about this album, it all really has the feel of their original material...and for me, that's a good thing.

How do you know it does? theres only one single out, and its nothing like their earlier stuff.

i can not wait for this new c.d at all, most of my friends around here were pretty dissapointed when they first heard the single Icky Thump, i loved it!

I used to think the new single was decent but now it's pretty amazing. The video is some neat gold, too. Jack's looking fabbb. Meg's looking good too but i don't know about the lighter hair.

That's good. 'Get Behind Me Satan' didn't really interest me at all. It's one thing to experiment with rock and another to almost completely depart the genre (which they pretty much did with that album).

I loved get behind me satan, it was really good had some nice piano.....which ment i could exploit it and perform it myself.....you know it's actually pretty hard to find stuff i can play sing along to and use for assesment tasks in music......mind you my faverite white stripes album is probebly de stijl, i recently bought it second hand .....good stuff, i could actually here a bit of it in that new song.

What i love about the white stripes is they are simplistic, they have simple chord progressions simple drum beats (simple in a good way...sometimes simple can be bad)....quite early blues orentated..i hope they don't strey to far from that..other wise they'd become to like other bands.

Edit: i like megs hair better dark....but i supose seeing as most people know that they are not in fact brother and sister like people used to think so she want's to look more differnent from jack perhaps.

I listened to it a lot today! My ipods only 1 GB though and i filled like the whole thing up with songs so I had to delete some to make room for the Icky Thump album...but it's really worth it!

The 6-th album isn't as good as White Blood Cells and Elephant, i reckon.
Still, WS are one of my favorite bands.. They'r esimple unique..

There are some trully great songs.. BUt usually the most catchy songs are neither the singles, nor the ones that catch your attention at first sight, but the ones that you start to like after going through the album several times and being able to understand how trully unique they are.. (oh, well! i hope someone understands what i meant to say.. )

The songs that i like most on Icky thump are definitely "Bone Broke" and "Rag and Bone". Both are very nice tunes, that defintely stand out after you have listened to the album 30 times and decide that Icky Thump(the track) is awful..

Conquest is a really great song, but seeing as it's a cover I'd say this album is rather unmemorable otherwise. Their are bands around who do this sort of genre way better...I was rather disapointed.

I liked it, it just wasn't really anywhere near as good as It could have been and I thought they kinda failed to deliver.
