At the end of the new Spin mag, featuring on the cover Modest Mouse, The Vines get mentioned as a great garage rock revival band, along with The Dirtbombs, the smugglers, and Jet, and how they break the rules of rock and don't care what other people think unlike The Dcemberists Death Cab For Cutie, and MCR. Because it is a pretty big article, and The Vines are only mentioned once, I'm not going to type it up, but if someone wants to, or has ways of scanning it, please do!
