thats true, im glad he's more mentaly stable now becuase their performances are lot better, theyve always been good, but before it was more "entertaining" shall we say than actuaky sounding really good.. he seems a lot more into his music now...

Possible Muse support for the wembley dates??

matt bellamy, singer of muse told nme....

"We'll probably get three bands on for each night and we'd like to get a few new bands in there," said Bellamy, speaking from the Australian leg of the Big Day Out festival. "It would be good. We're surrounded by good bands on the Big Day Out tour so we might get a few bands here to play with us. We need to start putting a little billing together."

we know craig loves muse, maybe there be asked to support?!

I know this sounds selfish but I hope they tour Australia for the fourth album before hitting up the other countries!
nix
not selfish. well maybe, yeah.. but hey they do come from here, they are the only Australian band I really like huh.gif and they could maybe do the other capital cities AS WELL as Sydney and Melbourne, before other countries! but whatever, not being greedy or anything. I'm sure they will get back here eventually. hey orchideleven, pretty sure you post/ use to post on bdo forums.

Yeah, I think it is, as we can all predict, the therapy he's receiving. smile.gif Just being diagnosed can aid the situation, and then not only will people try to help you, but you are able to help yourself. Because understanding is brought by the diagnosis.
Before, it's like unsure.gif and even more unsure.gif until you're just like, "fuck it!" which is what Craig did.
When you are told you are indeed different, it's like this ohmy.gif because you think, "well, I've been like this so long (entire life of course) and thought I'd just have to deal" but of course you are very thankful that it's not so, because it's very dificult. So they know how to manage it...rather that they've got something serious on their hands to manage!, and can make everything smoother than if they were ignoring it, which was what was happening before, what made people think 'oh shit' when they thought 'craig in social situations'.
Whew. mellow.gif biggrin.gif
I mean, hopefully that was, though not eloquent, understandable enough. It was hard to phrase. wacko.gif

No, I understand...I mean, they probably will, because not only are they alraedy there, but it's their home country. As long as they think of a few other places and get here, I'm not too jealous of Aus. tongue.gif

How far is Australia from Guam? I'm still hoping The Vines would visit, but it's very unlikely. We hardly ever get any visits from big bands here. Poo. sad.gif
Dan
never say never, where is guam?
gigi
It doesn't look very far from Australia. Guam's an island in the Pacific. It's just a freakin' dot on the map. But we're a US territory.
Dan
get a plane over
gigi
No money, man. But I'm saving up.

While they are at it have some gigs for people under the age of 18.........not being greedy
nix
nah, over 18's. preferably over 19's. But I'd be ok with them doing one of those underage things, too. I'm not fussy about the date though, but preferably on a Thursday evening. around 7-ish. In early April, and when it's a tad overcast.

AAAAAAAARH! Why do I live in Denmark? Why? sad.gif

Haha. Hell, I'd just be glad if they came to the US at all. I think I'm hitting up a JET concert April 6, so that just means I need a Vines and Oasis concert, then I can die in peace. smile.gif

My two favourite bands are Oasis & The Vines. I managed to see Oasis live last year, for the first time! Now I NEED to see The Vines live, I will die happy if I do.

I hope they come to England sometime in the future.

I remember hearing something some time ago about The Vines doing an American tour "later this year (2007)"... has anyone heard additional info on that?

What's the chances they would play Splendour this year?? If they did, I would really try to go. I think they should, but the tickets go on sale monday and they aren't anounced dry.gif
allie9609
^ And Spelendour tickets plus camping fees come to $300 mellow.gif . Then when you add in petrol money, food, the huge prices they charge for drinks at the festival plus any merch.... mellow.gif mellow.gif . As far as concerts go Splendour is really expensive. Even if The Vines do get announced I think I'll give it a miss this year sad.gif . Although I kinda doubt that they'll play it again anyway. I remember in the good old days when Splendour was less than $200 for two days plus camping *daydreams* . I feel old tongue.gif .

yeah, none.
Splendour needs more international acts in my opinion! and a big headliner like the Sonic Youth or Brian Wilson of last year. The Cure have been pretty rumoured, if they went it would be worth the money. The prices are ridiculous, they just keep climbing every year! I'm camping as well and I paid over $300.
trafalgar_domino
-- ^^ I know it's ridiculous!! $200 for just a ticket dry.gif lame!!
-- but ah well I'm still going and happy haha laugh.gif

^If you mean you don't know he was diagnosed with AS in 2004...? Because other than that, I can't think what you mean, cause their isn't anything else huh.gif FAQ that should help in that case wink.gif
Btw Welcome to the forum Jaz hug.gif

It is a shame about the price dry.gif I would love to go one yeah though, it sounds like a good festival. I would like to see the Arctic Monkeys too rolleyes.gif
Anyways I'll just have to wait...

Yeah, that FAQ thread is great. Lots of really good info on there. And his artwork is so nice, it always makes me happy to see it. I know "whimsical" is a quirky word, but that's how I'd describe it. wub.gif

Yeah it is great biggrin.gif very well put together, and that is a good word to describe his art biggrin.gif
