as old bands I love New Order, the Byrds, Beatles (yeah, well... *rolleyes*, I rarely listen to them now because its just... you know, the beatles) and the Kinks of course. I havent got cds of them/or only best ofs... except for the Beatles.

the vines have never been my fav band. i just like them and that's all. they dont stand a flame agasint some of the bands who i look up to.
