Unlike most of the pop-punk genre, Green Day are interesting and write good songs. Still, I'd prefer the Descendents over them any day of the week.

yes. green day is very good and i like their new song too. but my favourite song will always be 'welcome to paradise'. when i first heard that song..i fell in love.

But American idiot is really different to their old stuff like 'time of your life' etc. Its much more pop rock. I hope they dont go completely pop like silverchair did..................That would be truely sad.

saw them playing a show last month in front of perhaps 150 people...it was great.
I´m going to see them 1/11 again...can´t wait.

I love green day...and yeah their new song is amazing....like right now i´ve been going through tough times but that song really makes me feel better any time i play it.... But my favorite will be The vines !!....i love these guys and i hope they get back on the studio real soon....we love craig and the guys.

Green Day, after the Manics and Oasis, were, I think, the band who really got me into 'alternative' music...hearing Dookie in Year 9 was somewhat of a breath of fresh air for me, and I listened to it time and again. I only got round to getting Nimrod after that, because I didn't want to limit myself to just a few bands, and I was already set on hearing as much of the Manics and Oasis as I could, and Warning was disappointing and a bit rubbish, but American Idiot seems like it might be really good, particularly from the singles I've heard. I might even buy it. Gosh.

I hate there new album they should have spent more time on it!

I´m seeing them on tuesday. and saw them in october in front of 150 people. I loved it.

i luv greenday. i saw them liv and it was amazing., right before the show, they had a big pink bunny come out and he started chugging beer. than, a mouse came onto the stage and beat the bunny up hilarious

I think they are okay. Some of their songs are quite good but I don't know about the vocals. Plus "Time Of Your Life" is the only song I can really play & sing at the same time. I'm certainly not a good guitar player.

I've been listening to a shitload of Green Day lately. heh. I'm dying to see them in concert.

saw them in Berlin. I liked the fact, that "Blitzkrieg Bop" was played right before they entered the stage, and of course, that they dedicated "Wake Me Up When September Ends" to Johnny Ramone.
