At present, there are no shows planned for overseas. The Vines are however confirmed for Homebake on December 2 and are hoping to be a part of the BDO shows which will take place in January 2007. They are also scheduled to play the Great Escape Festival in Sydney the weekend of April 7-9.


As you can see from recent show photos and videos - and as Craig, Ryan, Hamish and Brad will tell you - the Vines are excited to be back to playing live shows. They're doing it by their own rules - ie. a limited run of shows in a place so as not to overtax Craig - and they're not done yet! Nothing has been finalized, but they're looking ahead to do a limited number of shows in the following places in the coming months before hunkering down in a studio to work on album 4.


October - more Oz dates
November - the UK, possibly opening for Muse
December - the US, most likely a few Christmas radio festivals with some possible side shows on their own
January/February - BDO strongly rumoured (bands can't officially announce their appearance at BDO - it's up to BDO to confirm and make those announcements, but the Vines are very interested )
February - UK and/or Europe


Remember, no show contracts have been signed just yet and any dates in these places will be limited to a week or two weeks tops, just as their recent shows in the UK and Oz were. Just keep your fingers and toes crossed things pan out for the guys - it's what they want and of course fans lucky enough to live anywhere near these shows are gonna be in for a real treat. The band are performing better than they ever have!!

they want to do other places in oz (adelaide/perth/brisbane) and/or bigger venues (in sydney at least). that wasn't really in the cards until the u.s. dates got shuffled to later in the year - they really wanted to do the u.s. next month, but booking venues so close to time became an issue with that. also, they want to put the vines on a bill that will help expose them to more people in the states and abroad.

you've gotta remember - a lot of people thought (and still think) the vines were over. they're taking baby-steps with these live shows to turn that perception around and let people know the vines are back and better than ever.

I would hate for the band to become some massive arena band.

at the moment, this tour stuff is still up in the air. unfortunately, it's looking like the pairing with muse in the UK may not happen. even if you're not in the UK and this wouldn't affect you, say a little prayer that it works out because it would mean so much to craig, obvs, watching a band he loves play every night, but more importantly, it would be such excellent exposure for the band. a wider audience needs to realize that the vines are back and better than they ever were.

I'll pray every night. I hope it happens cause I would so go to UK for couple of shows, don't care how much money I'd spend.
