I didn't get an email

There will be no show dates out of Australia this year.

The band are working on some extensive (a relative term for The Vines!) touring next year.

The only official date thus far is Homebake on Saturday, December 2, 2006.

the email they're referring to is the one lizzy sent out on monday. in it we confirm that the vines are set to do homebake in december, and an official announcement of them performing at the 2007 BDO is imminent (november 8).

nothing panned out with the muse dates in the UK in november nor the radio shows they'd hoped to play in the states in december (unfortunately, getting on those gig rosters is pretty competitive, and they didn't have the radio airplay here to get a jump up ).

they may do a few more dates this year in oz, tho, so you aussies keep your fingers and toes crossed.

Too bad the Vines couldn't do something like this...

erm...no. it's too late now to try and book anything, and they needed to either do radio shows or open for some cool band like the raconteurs.

hopefully sometime next year.

Next year is almost here anyway. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope it doesn't conflict with the recording of album four.

Although it sucks they aren't coming here any time soon, I'm trying out the whole optimism thing.

I mean, now that we know the Vines are back and are capable of touring that's certainly something. At least now, unlike back in April, we can have a smidge of hope that they'll come here and do a real tour. And they will because the fourth album is going to kick ass.

Aww, damn . I really, really do hope they end up playing some shows next year.
