heres a rundown of what different member groups can and cant do:
user groups are based on your post count:
junior member is 0-19 posts
member is 20-4,999 posts
Old School is 5,000-9,999 posts
and veterans are 10,000 and above
what each group can do is as follows:
Junior Members aren't allowed to vote, their PM boxes only hold 10 messages, can't email members, have flood control, have a 50K uploading limit and can't change their display name
Members can vote, their PM boxes hold 50 messages, can mass PM up to 3 people, can email up to 5 people per day, have flood control, have a 500K uploading limit, and can change their display name once every 3 months
Old School! members can vote, their PM boxes hold 100 messages, they can mass PM up to 6 people, can email up to 15 people per day, can rate topics, don't have flood control, have a 600K uploading limit, can delete their own posts, can edit their own topic title/descriptions, can have a personal photo in their profile, and can change their display name once a month
Veterans can vote, their PM boxes hold 125 messages, can mass PM up to 6 people, can email up to 20 people per day, can rate topics, don't have flood control, have a 700K uploading limit, can delete their own posts, can edit their own topic title/descriptions, can have a personal photo in their profile, and can change their display name twice a month
