hey i know this has probably been posted in some form or another but im lazy so deal with it lol,anyway, do you think the song mary jane might be about marijuana?

it's about a girl and marijuana..sort of combined.

I always thought it was just about Craig's addiction to Marijuana and that he's so addicted that he starts relying on her as a soul-mate type of real person and she instructs him through his own life as he makes his way into others.

I think the 'But I've got to go' part means that though he'd like to just smoke pot forever and be happy and forget about his problems, he'll eventually have to come down and face the world.

I actually think that its only about marijuana. I read alot of his interviews and well.. he usually avoids talking about girls. i hope its just cuz hes shy

the song Mary Jane sort of explains the high feeling.
it is a sort of state of mind where everything is beautiful and perfect and you feel no need to worry.
the bad thing about it though is that you can't stay there forever. so you have to smoke some more marihuana...



I imagine sometimes it is hard to explain something you've written. i just comes through you, you know, the poetry with no rational explanation.

Listening to Craig's words and trying to figure them out is difficult. I haven't the slightest clue what most of them are about, though I'd like to know. But I guess we will never know what goes on inside Craig's head. And maybe that's okay. All I know is that Craig is amazing. At everything he does. I don't care what anyone says, he is.

I think it's about addiction in general. You can replace "MaryJane" with whatever you're addicted to. Or I'm just crazy.

Yeah I think it's about pot, but I agree with Maddie in that it can apply to other drugs as well. When ever I listen to it I get the impression that he's singing about marijuana and the thoughts it gives him as if it were a person. So when he sings the first line for example: "Mary Jane said life's a wait" that's just the thoughts or feelings pot gives him when he takes it. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone - but that's how I see it. I guess there are a lot of different interpretations .

There was a topic on this already and I tried to intepret what I think it means as best I could. I have no idea where the topic went though and I amm too lazy to look for it.
