The Darkness is okay...not the best, but I don't mind listening to them.

Here's an idea, and it's ever-so slightly leftfield, so do bear with me. Why not..wait for it...just ignore The Darkness and not get bothered by them? Surely they don't intrude on your life that much?

I mean, if someone started a thread about them saying that they liked them, and why they liked them, and you replied to it saying that you hated them and stated exactly why you hated them, then fair enough. But a post declaring 'let's kill The Darkness' is both petty and juvenile and serves no real purpose other than to waste people's time.

I love their songs and videos. Dodgy magic effects, over the top plot lines, space objects getting raped or Justin being molested by a huge furry hairball is all part of the fun of each video & combined with opera vocals, long guitar solos makes them completely vulnerable to ridicule.

However, it is this very feature, i.e., good humoured sarcasm that differentiates them from a lot of bands today and if Justin or the band were another considered pretty boys..cue imagine Julian in a jumpsuit..the irony just wouldn't work the same way.

They're there to inspire each one of us ordinary folk that we each have the right to enjoy music no matter how uncool we are.
