in a few days, we're gonna create an 'official' birthday thread for you to post your birthday wishes for craig. we'll have it up until their annandale shows, when we'll then print it out to personally give him. allie may even design a nice little cover/folder to put them in for him.

we're letting you know now so you'll have time to think about what you want to say/write/draw (if you choose to do artwork/poetry/etc.), and we ask that you only post your well-wishes to craig in that thread ie. no off-topic chatter or replies to each other - you can do that in this thread.

if you have any questions about this, feel free to ask. also, don't forget that lizzy is heading up a gift package to send to craig that will be a guitar strap cover made of patches forumers are making for him - to learn more about that, read here.

When you print the messages out, do our signatures and post counts get sent as well?

this happened before to vinny....she left and wasn't able to post when we were running somethingorother. if you wanna go ahead and type something out and pm it to me, i can add it for you if you don't think you can get to the internet. we won't print it until monday, sept. 4, or tuesday, sept. 5 (the night of the first annandale show ).

He may not even look at our post counts. He may only read the happy birthdays and maybe look at our sig-pics, but he may not actually read our post counts. He wont know to. He's not a computer nerd like most of us are.

hey, here's a borrowed idea! my strokes friends were just telling me about how a group of strokes fans wished jules a happy b'day on a website. what a lot of them did was make signs wishing julian a happy b'day and took pictures of themselves with their signs - similar to what we did with fans holding up their copies of the VV cd (see my profile pic). hey, maybe they borrowed the idea from us.

so if you'd like to post a picture of yourself with a b'day message, that's another idea.

But he would see a printed out version of everyone's pic. And most likely a black and white printed out version, right? So that also means our sig-pics and everything else will be all in black and white, right?

Yep, I'll have my camera so I'll be able to video tape it if everyone sings... I hope it happens! We'll maybe have to organise it with the other people in the queue before the show .

Anyway, I've got a rough copy of the cover - do you think it's okay? Does anyone know if there's a font in word or publisher that is similar to The Vines font? As you can see... I'm not very good at it .

The writing looks fine to me. Seriously, I love it. With that MS Word fonts you get rid of what's ... *desparately searches for the right word* (?) about it. Hand writing looks cute and it shows that you put a lot of effort in it. I'm sure Craig would know how to appreciate that.

we'll have six hours to plan. that's gonna be a moment to remember for sure.
