My city Newry was one of the first towns (when it was a town back in the day) to be planted by the British during the plantations in 1300s or something like that. Here it is famous for shopping and the canal that runs through it. It also used to have the longest tram track in the world because it went around in a circle so it never stopped lol.

I'm from Alexandria, Egypt so I guess our town is famous for the library and stuff.

Erm...I know an old movie was filmed downtown here a long time ago but I don't remember the name of it. Oh, and Uncle Sam lived/ is buried here, and Herman Melville used to live here too. That's about it.

Over populated, hot, smoggy, gang ridden, a concrete jungle to be exact.

Ushuaia,in Argentina, is famous because it's the southernmost city of the world,also because it has an unique landscape, which combines mountains, sea, glaciers and forests and bla bla bla;and famous for it's prison, lighthouse, boat excursions and a never ceasing tranquility too. A lot of tourists come here in the summer and winter break,it's nice to visit but it's a boring place to live in

its the world HQ for Chrystler, GM, and Ford
thats why its also known as Motown (short for Motor Town) or Motor City

speaking of Motown its known as the birthplace of 3 genres of music: Motown (duh), garage rock, and techno
of course other forms of garage rock and techno were being created in other cities around the same time so who was first with what and everything is always open for debate

its also known for the Detroit riots of 1967, a church in the city (I forgot the name of it) was the first place MLK Jr. gave his I Have a Dream speech uh theres other historical stuff, alot of it is Civil Rights movements

and its home of the North American International Auto Show and the Detroit Electronic Music Festival every year which both bring international crowds (and are loads of fun )

oh... and its also the most dangerous major city in the US

I live about five minutes away from the house Liam and Noel Gallagher grew up in. The drummer from the Smiths grew up two streets away from me. Ian Brown and John Squire once spraypainted "STONE ROSES" all along the bus route past my house towards the city centre. My old flat is visible in the film 24 Hour Party People.
