I read some of Mary Robinson's Lyrical Tales earlier, and didn't really enjoy them. I must read The Prelude by Wordsworth and The Wanderer by Frances Burney (often, I think, shortened to Fanny Burney. This might be immature, but pahahaha) over the holiday

No, I did that when I had to study..Evelina I think it was.

Good call! Which one are you reading? Or are you working through them all?
You know they're making the a full-length film of the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe? Details are
hereThey're going to film every story too, in a sort of ongoing Lord of the rngs/Harry Potter type scenario
This:

Singer/songwiter Amy Lee of the popular band "Evanescence", who is contributing to the soundtrack of this film, was offered a cameo appearance. In response, Lee eagerly requested that she play a character who gets killed.
is slightly disconcerting though.

Was that the BBC one? They filmed most of the series I believe. There was also some godawful 'The Lion, The Witch..' animated film as well.
I really liked the original live action one to be honest, it had a great charm to it. I think they could potentially do a great remake though with CGI and all that. And I say that as aperson who usually detests CGI.

Yeah...he just came down to vomit chicken skins into my toilet, I think.
I loved the BBC adaptation of The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe when I was younger, but then I rewatched them a few years ago and realised they were hilarious. Lucy, particularly.
I'm currently reading Powder by Kevin Sampson (I think that's his name, anyway). It's a very readable account of a (fictional) band who are trying to, and do indeed, 'make it'.

i thought the train thing in the series of unfortunate etc. movie was really lame. and they switched up the order of some of the things, ie. the wedding happened at the end of the first book.
but whatever.
jude law's voice was the basis of the movie's appeal, anyways.
